Was talking with bestshot about civ3 gaming and gaming in general, and we thought it would be fun to try to find enough NESers for a full game for civ3. Essentially we could bring the wonderful world of NESing to Civ3, crush our enemies, maybe even get a good story or two out of it. I know quite a few of you have it, especially us from the old days. Let's dust off the discs and start killing eachother again!

This would require the vanilla game and expansion packs, but Amazon.com has civ3 complete up for only $12 at the moment, so it's a great time to buy the game.

Other games we might be able to play:

Starcraft
Civ4
World of Warcraft (if anyone wants to start up on the same server, i'd be game to an NESer guild)
Others?

I'd consider it.

I'm in for Civ 3.

I think it's an awesome idea. :) I'm up for Civ4 vanilla, warlords or BtS, Starcraft w/ or w/o Brood War, many others actually. I'm not sure I can make it for Civ3, I don't have it, and WoW I can't afford.

How about Total War?

Rome or Medieval? :b

my com has a bug in Medieval or something. I actually wants to play it, but I think that a hacker has somehow dug in and snatched the cd-key, making it impossible to play.

The same thing happened in BF2. I think its simply a virus, because my friend borrowed BF2 and oculd play it easily. It's weird.

Medieval lends itself to more players.

I'd play in Civ 3 or Medieval, but I'm not that good at either.

I'd be in Civ 3.

Civ IV or Rome Total War

Let's narrow it to civ3 and starcraft for the moment then. Now the hard part. What time is good for everyone? 10 PM EST sound good at some point?

10 gets in the way of a lot of stuff for me. but maybe sometimes i can manage it. later is always better, especially during the summer.

Well one thing we could consider, in addition to figuring out a good time (Maybe 12 PM EST then?) is a PBEM game, which doesnt have time restrictions at all. Sure it takes a lot longer, but it doesnt restrict itself to time constraints.

I own Total War and Civ 3 as for what you guys would probably want to play. We could have a lot of fun with a Napoleanic Civ 3.

I suggested a scenario, and think that either TCW or Napoleonic sound pretty good.

;I would say RFRE but unfortunately one player. What about Rhye's?
