After many times I got a chinese strategy finally, but this strategy isn a basic strategy first, then you can decide what you want to do:

Start with a warrior, working on 2 forests, explore and get some villages.
After this warrior, work on 2 tiles water (4 science) and 1 forest (2 hammers) and set the production on Stonehenge or great library, while you research horseback riding. After those 5 turns you will have 10 hammers and now switch to 2 forests and the other worker in the city, choosing nothing(you get 1 hammer), if possible in another forest.

Now start building horsemen, and the first one has to get the veteran upgrade. In some turns if you got some huts you can have your free settler, then after you found the city, you can rush the other horsemen. If you want to do the horse rush faster, then you will get the settler later, but you can do it if you know it's going to work. Move your settler where you can have at least 2 grasslands, 2 trees and 1 water tile. Move the production to 2 hammers and 4 science in each city and get bronze working if you are having problems and build archers where needed. 1 could still be ok. Build new cities working on 2 forests and 1 grassland (in the new city work on 1 tree, 1 water tile on gold and 1 food if you haven't got another tree, but I suggest you building it with 2 trees and not only 1) and move there some archers. Keep building new cities and build an archer army only if you fear horsemen, but if your horsemen army is still alive, you can use it to kill the neighbours. If you took one capital, good job. Put 1 archer at least then grow to 3 population. After that do the same trick, working on 2 trees - 1 grassland. In other cities you can still do this but if you got only 1 grassland, you should go for code of laws. If you got enough cities, like 5-6 or more, irrigation would be a nice bonus before code of laws, but if you are ahead and your enemies won't work on irrigation, you can wait, build more cities then get it.

Try to follow this order at the start:

Writing free
Horseback riding
Bronze working
Pottery
Masonry
Irrigation
Literacy free
Alphabet
Code of laws
Democracy
Start building libraries in all cities
Monarchy (if you can have the GP)
Mathematics
Navigation

Now, start expanding to islands, 4 are ok, and put at least one unit on them, not only militia. After you got 4-5 populatio, remove workers and work on a library with at least 4 hammers, getting it in 5 turns. Rush them if possible then restart working on science. Before you switch to democracy, build these cities. 15-20 is good and it's better to have many cities, exploiting the literacy bonus.
Now, the tech path:

-Engeenering
-Invention
-Steam power

And look for Atlantis. Don't get it if possible and wait, work on worse technologies then get it. However if you fear others are going to take it, then do it before they do.

If you got a scientist and great builder, and you are sure, then get all the Industrialization's pre-reqs, like University, Banking and probrably Steam power. Now, rush oxford getting Advanced Flight and the free bomber. Rush some bombers armies and rule. However, you can rush East India Company, rush corporation, use the artist to flip a nice city, settle the great leader, or add 1 population to all cities. The explorer could be used for a nice gold city but you don't need it. 400 gold could be enough but make it worthful.
Build some defenses if you need, and defend boarders and cost. Keep pressing the enemy if possible but you don't really need this unless they are teching better then you. In the modern era you can switch government still using libraries, like switching to fundamentalism, attacking in the whole turn, then you switch government. In anarchy you are still getting x2 science from the libraries and +3 or more attacking enemies. Obviously republic can work but it's not easy to build new cities while you attack, and defend everything, but its' not really hard. Then, if you can do it, switch to republic, build some new cities, put there some defences, build libraries and press the enemy. Monarchy and Despotism aren't useful.

Other technologies you can choose are:

Industrialization
Corporation
Metallurgy
Gunpowder
Combustion
Railroads

Then, you choose, but I suggest you going for networking. If you are getting enough gold you can start rushing universities at half price thank's to the first to research bonus. This will improve your science but you don't need it, you can finish enemies with bombers or tanks. Remember building at least 2 armies/wings because if one dies, you lost a good advantage. You can choose whatever you want now, economic, cultural, tech or domination. Also communism can help you if you want to attack enemies if you don't need culture then temples.

If you are getting few gold, you can still work on this to get horsemen:

Put 2 workers on 2 forests and 1 water tile. You will have in 10 turns 40 hammers and Horseback riding. When you change production you can rush units for 0, so, if you were producing the stonehenge you can rush 2 units in the same time 1 turn before the normal strategy, and if one attacks you, you have more hammers to rush out warriors. In this way you get the second horseman in the 12th turn instead of 13th, that's a good advantage because in the 13th turn you can have your army

One of the best strategies I've used, took all the capitals with tanks and artillery by 1900.
