It's Rainer Maria Rilke season!

(hence my av, sig, and title are all either him or poems or lines of poems by him)
 
An MRI takes 'pictures' of very thin sections of the brain. Effectively, it's the same as removing what it's front of the section and what is behind the section. My avatar is an MRI image of my head, at the plane of the lens of my eye (which is how I get the darkening of the eyeballs). I chose it because it looks kinda creepy, even though it's a true picture of me

My user title is a reference to when I believe a transgenic therapy for color-blindness will be available. Until then, I'm blind to certain colours.

My location is an allusion to Carl Sagan's comments on what the Earth looks like from far away, when they got their satellite to turn around and take our photo. There's some real poetry in his comments, and some really deep thinking. I think people could benefit from realising that we live on a pale blue dot, and so here's Sagan's speech.

Is it gluten free?
Anyway, I guess being a Norwegian and with a little history knowledge disqualifies me.
As for myself, I haven't changed and it should be pretty easy to figure out the connection between my avatar and user title.
My sig contains links to articles whcih people are to read on their own risk and a message which ought to save me some troubles.

Your avatar depicts our chief god, Odin.
Wednesday is named after him (in Norwegian it is onsdag). Do I get an espresso as well?
Tangentially some years ago I started on a serial of articles about Norse mythology here, but cancelled it due to low public interest. I am considering reviving that project.

It looks like what we call a silverfish in the USA. Crawls up plumbing drains.
 
My avatar's a Wood Elf. Thought it was the least prancy nancy boyish of the Wood Elf avatars I'd seen - and as I post mainly on the Fall From Heaven 2 forum, I though it somewhat appropriate. Eehhh, I probably will change to something less Elvey soon.
