This is my first leaderhead.
I made it to be Robert Stewart Duke of Albany who was the scottish regent at the time of my mod. However, seeing as I was unable to find a proper picture of him I made it based on what would probably look about right and what I thought would look good (hense the scar).
As this is the case I'm sure he has many other uses and hopefully someone here will find him usefull.

As this is my first leaderhead I would love to hear any feedback from everyone. I'm sure there are ways I can improve him, so let me know what you think could be improved and if possible exactly how it could be done.

I've done quite a bit to the model, though admittedly most is quite subtle.
I removed the leaf things from his head and the bits from his shoulders.
I changed his hair a bit, touch longer and messier.
i reshaped his chin and nose to make his face look more anglicised rather than mediteranean.
I reshaped the breastplate to remove the ridges from around the arms.
I changed the shirt so that there isn't as much showing around the neck.
I changed the sleeves so that now he has two seperate sleeves, short sleeved chainmail with a long sleeve shirt underneath. (Though you can't really see this in the picture).
As I said, most of it is subtle, but I'm sure if you put it next to the original you would realise just how many changes i have made.

Didn't realise there was a version in the database without the wreath. I'll let you off for not realising how much I had done then.

Yeah, that sounds right. I was desperately trying to remember when I wrote leaf things. Thanks.

Pretty great. I like all the subtle changes. The only part that I think could possibly use some further alteration is the collar. A tiny bit of mail directly on the neck just looks very uncomfortable. What if you added a cloak of some sort? Looking at the cloaks available, that could be difficult unless you simply went with a Brennus. Perhaps instead, a Zara Yaqob style collar would look good (see the Mark Antony leaderhead from Pencilgod). Either way, some sort of costuming addition may be just what this leaderhead needs to take it from good to great. Highlings: the iron cuirass is definitely a great base, and that scar is most impressive.

Could really be anyone. He should probably have a beard (at least a goatee) though, as the people in this era and region believed beardlessness was a sign of boyishness or femininity. Great work otherwise! :)

As an additional suggestion, Robert Stewart was strongly associated with Menteith (a region in the south-central Highlands), and named his son after the traditional name of the mormaers of that region (Muireadhach, Murdoch) ... perhaps something Menteithy in the background rather than Eilean Donan?

EDIT: Doune, called Doune Castle [though "Doune" actually means roughly the same thing as castle, as in the Celtic UU] is a good possibility ... there are some good links on google image.
