It dosen't make any sence at all. Could someone explain to me why this is happening?

I also know that if I skip a turn it lasts slightly longer untill I try to get into the city page and then poof... It crashes...
I did add new units and (or rather replaced old ones...) cilivlizations and I am thinking this is why the game keeps crashing but I am not sure still...

Do you get an error message? Usually if it is a problem with Civ3 not being able to find a certain file, it will tell you that it cannot. Please say exactly what any error messages are when this happens. If it simply crashes to desktop with no error message (other than perhaps a OS message) something else could be causing it.

Tom
It's the second one that's causing it. I did edit the units_32 file to include more greek units but that it's it...

I'd say try reinstalling the game (after you've back-up your custom files), this sounds like the game's corrupted. I've had several crashes while testing my own mods, but they were never caused by the mod itself.

I see, I will do that now!

I uninstalled it and when I tried to reinstall it wanted me to find and prove that there was a file there and it said that it couldn't read it... It was one of hitawahs flics.

Another thing that causes the city screen crash is if YOU MODIFY ANY OF THE CITY SCREEN FILES (including the Units_32.pcx) and DON'T SAVE THEM AS A 256 COLOR PCX.... I.e. if you save the Units_32.pcx as True/32-bit color format, the game WILL crash when you go into the city screen... Did that by accident myself once... IIRC, the same goes if you save the Buildings_Large.pcx and Buildings_Small.pcx as True-color files instead of 256 color format....

I am trying to find it but my paint shop pro program doesn't differenceate between the two and thus I don't know what I am saving it under...

Well?

I hate bumping this thread but I really need an answer soon!

I ran into a slightly similar problem (not exactly the same, but close) quite a while back. The order that you install things is very important. Uninstall everything, then install vanilla, the patches, and conquest, and its patches in that order. Let us know how it goes.

Installing the Vanilla patches is not necessary. Install Vanilla, then Conquests. Conquests, when installing, will check the patch level of Vanilla or PTW and patch it to 1.29f or 1.27f respectively.

I don't have that I have the civ 3 complete version...

Then patches are not necessary. Just install them the way the installer wants to.
I removed and renstalled it but it still does the same thing as before...
