Monarch - Please help with strategy tips.

Yes, that suggestion about switching religions was good. Our mutual war with the English accomplishes the same purpose. If Boudica would have asked me to switch religion, I would have, because it is more points when they ask you and you do it. Of my 11 cities, I have only one Buddhist city. Organized religion has a nice +25% building bonus. Would it be worth spamming all those missionaries though? I have considered switching to Hinduism and telling Boudica to shove it. I have five Hindu cities and I have the shrine.

Boudica and I have been the only powers in the world for a while now. I just have to determine the best way to wipe her out.

Here is my heartland showing my cities growing nicely:

Things are going nicely, but I would like a bit of a tech advantage to attack the French. I may switch to Republic and Caste System and build up tech. Right now I have quite a population advantage over the French I could use that and attack them immediately.

@Lincoln

You posted 2 shots of the tech tree - we still need one of the trading screen. Really, you can take Boudica out any time you want. You have a large production advantage over her. Cats + praetorians will do the job nicely, even if she get longbows. HBR would get you WEs as well - very stout units. All you need to do is crank units everywhere and you'll overwhelm her, especially if you can attack with 2 stacks in different places. Taking her cities produces a snowball effect on her ability to defend.

Thanks for all your help! Boudica and I divided the English Empire. I took the island cities and Boudica took the mainland cities. After that I switched to Monarchy/Vassalage/Theocracy/Mercantilism and built up an attack force. I took two stacks in as Huerfanista suggested. It didn't take to long. Here is Paris being taken. The remarkable thing is that, even after gunpowder, I still produced about 90% praets as units.

After another stack takes a city near Paris I get this message (you can see the island taken from England):

Good job! :goodjob: Now try someone other that Rome if you really want to learn how to play monarch. :lol:

I'm starting a new game, Emporer level, with 18 Civs. I'll share this one as well. I'm guessing this is going to be a failure. Watch for the thread.
