Have ever been told you suck at MP? Do you not want to lie to say you've beaten Deity without WB? Then here is your chance to cream the AI! With Epic Ownage (I know name sounds bad). In this mod... Well you can see the list of changes in the posts below. When you lead the game there are some errors with the diplomacyinfos.xml , click as fast as you can and they should go away after about 30 clicks. Then continue playing.

ATM this mod is very small, but I have some things planned for it:

Like I said above this mod is VERY small ATM, but it will get more things.

Changes

Kublai Khan now has all traits
Keshik now has 5 :move: and 7 :strength:. It also only cots 15 :hammers: Availible with Fishing, The Wheel, (Will be changed) and horses.
New Difficulty level: remake20. -1 :) per city from/AI has worse starting relation/barb cities more likely to appear/AI start with more units
Ger now cots 30 :hammers:. 4 :gp: (Merchant). Plus 1 :) and :health:. 3 expedience to all units. No extra to horse type units. Preq tech, the wheel.
* = Done, but not in a released version.
 
I know it's small, but that's how I work. I seem to loose motivation unless I get something like a new version. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have at least BUG put in and a changed UB.

you cant update one small part of a line in the xml - at this rate youll have a mod in 3 years...

and most important - this wont interest people enough - how can this mod compete with mods like rise of man that have thousands of changes in it?

your saying that by next week youll have bug mod + two xml lines changed? this isnt right man...

Hm... your right. :p. See if be next week, I can add all of the changes listed above. Then see where to go. I don't have a lot of experience with releasing mods, so I'm still learning, but thanks for the help. I doubt it, but would you like to help as in help me adding things?

well...i dont have much to to mod, even my own mod, so im sorry , i cant help..

but, here's a suggestion,

maybe for start, you work on one of the mods you like - and change there a few things you l;ike, and release it as a modmod?

it seems you wanna re create a mod pack that you already have, like - rom2, overlord2, history of mankind, merged mod, and many more.

i hope you get something working , goodluck ! :))
 
Thanks, I thought about a modmod and I might do one someday, but for now I wanted to do something fairly small. Hopefully by next Friday I will complete the todo list. BTW Anyone reading wanted the future versions please rate it high and comment saying you would like future versions. It gives me a motivation to continue.
 
Too strong? I originally had them at 15 :strength: and 15 :move:. And I decided that was way too strong so I dubbed it down. The whole point is to be stronger than the AI. I might have to beef up the strength later, because with so many AI archers on Deity. The whole point of it is to cream the AI and possibly win on Deity.
 
I will for the next version. Though it probably will not be original.
 
I can do XML, it's the art skills I lack.
 
I know how to find it. Even though I haven't released very much yet, I've modded a good bit.
 
I'll see if I can remember. Don't expect more than 5 new units for a while though, as this is meant to be a fairly simple mod.
 
I actually think it is a good idea that you are adding one piece at a time to your mod. It will allow you to analyze each change and will make you a better modder. I did something similar using the American Civ and George S. Patton. I added one thing at a time, by the time i was finished I had a George Patton leaderhead with new traits etc.. new UU Sherman Tank, New UB (it was a variation of barracks), new sound files and anything else you can imagine. It was my first mod and even though it took me a few months i learned alot. :goodjob: R20
