A year ago or more I wanted to do a deity game with 1 turn a day sets, but seems there was a lack of volunteers & motivation. I thought I'd try to bring it around again, but drop down to Immortal so a few more calibre players may make the cut.

I was looking for a 2-player team on a regular map, vs the rest AI. Keep in mind the extra hefty penalties the team gets.

The 1-turn a day will cause some ultra-micromanagement to be pulled off here...

 You'll have some trouble recruiting players right now. Our Monty game just stopped recently and interest in general seems to be waning. I wish I could sign up, but I'll just end up disappearing for a week at a time, so there's no point.

What do you mean by 2-player team vs. the rest AI?

Human team = 2 leaders. Perm alliance pact vs the AI hordes.

Never played a game like that. How does it work in terms of actual play? Is it MP, or can one player make the moves sequentially?

What are the hefty team penalties you're referring to?

Is this SG idea still alive?

I'm not a very competent deity player, but I can handle myself if the conditions aren't that harsh. Aditionally, I have no experience with always war games nor do I have with human teams.

But, with a little help I might be able to pull it off and I'm willing to try. I know the interest in Civ IV has declined, but I think it could be a lot fun.

Each member on a team increases tech costs by 33% IIRC. Also, it is more costly for team members to fill their gene pools, or generate GGs. But this is done to prevent teams from being too powerful.
