The problem is that Churchill is big and tough, how many turns do we need to shrink his cities to 3? Do we want Communism from Mao to build Krem? Or any idea which advanced tech in Roosevelt and Stalin's hand?

Kremlin: sounds very yummy indeed for whipping. How much more whipping do we need? Island cities get commerce boosters, CH and happy/health buildings. By the time we have Kremlin, most of that will be done already. Keep growing+run mass specs or whip units... I dunno.

Reducing Churchill will take at least 20 turns I'd guess. However it gives us a better chance to Lib->Assembly Line I think if we can steal SP.

PR's strategy of skipping wonders is the main reason that they are behind other teams.

T163 I tried that. Unfortunately it results in fewer hammers and hammers to gold conversion. nm misread, going to check what gives most hammers. Pig tile is unreachable in 1 turn, I'll look into sending a worker earlier.

T165 Nov ok, Vlad ok, pig city: do you want the city 1E of pig or NE? I went 1E because it gives one more grassland tile we're not using (2N of banana) nm, trying to send a worker earlier.

T166 Tours: How about the 3rd gems? I know about the rice but figured 1H+5C was better than 1F. Beijing: ok

T167 Settler: Yea I guess, why not. Smo is size 3 this turn so it can't whip the settler in time (t168)... it will arrive on t170 and settle on t171. However I guess it makes sense to be conservative and assume we might take 1 more turn to capture Paris.

T169: whip is late because I wanted to keep working the Dyes. Best time to whip to maximize food would be ASAP as the other tiles only add commerce. Granary is already done so we can whip anytime we wish.

As long as there's tech to be stolen, 1EP > 1C, Did Erkon consider the EP when he designed the map? That extra tile is a very good design.:goodjob:

BTW, the troop to Nanjing can be delayed until the DOW, Xian is closer and a more possible target. Station those troop in the northwest border of Xian is better than Sugar since they can help to kill any french unit approaching the roading worker. The bombardment SOD is better to go through north of Rh.

Sad news is DG turtled down and never moved troops out of cities so Lyons took 2 turns.

How many units were short that time, Could sending the defending units in Rh make it faster?

We have tried our best, Gandhi's going for religious and cultural tech is his nature.:sad: Even he beeline to Lib next, we still have ~30 turns.

We have some major issues to be determined for next set.
 
I had emptied Rheims and sent a few units West. Definitely needed to send a few more to Lyons but I was kinda tired and didn't play great with lots of distraction (took me about 3 hours to play as I had to stop all the time). I think it was 2 or 3 units short :(

30 turns seems reasonable but we might push it to more than that. Would closing borders with Gandhi slow him at all?

Score is indeed skyrocketting :)

Roose is wonderspamming a bit, if he gets MoM soon we can cancel the marble deal, build some more catapults and pay him a visit.
I have yet to think about the direction of next 10 turns, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. In any case, I'll use my scarce free time to ponder about that today without the game.

Actually, come to think of it, I don't even have civ 4 installed on this thing.

It will be about 9~10 hours before I get home.
 
Some thoughts

1. EP target next -- SP from Churchill is ideal, however, war with him is a headache and I don't see a good chance of taking 6 cities in the next 30 turns. My preference is Mao, Communism for Kremlin is great, that's about the time for massive whipping of factories and plants, especially in newer cities. There's also a lots of things to be whipped (almost every building is needed for big cities and we will have a lots of them thanks to Sushi).

2. War target next -- kind of related to 1st issue. If not Churchill, then Mao and then Roosevelt are logical. We also need MoM from Roosevelt. As a result, we want to end the war with Churchill as soon as possible.

3. Military -- we have enough macemans. The war next will be facing LBs, even with the elite macemans, the odd of battles against LBs on hill cities are not safe, we need at least 2 or 3 sacrificing cats for each city. 5 more cats are minimum. Beijing can help to produce some, but archers 1st. We also need a couple of WEs and HAs for stack protection from xbows. Go through Guangzhou and Chengdu and then directly to New York and Washington.

4. Diplomacy -- Trade HBR from Roosevelt next turn. Before trading Feudalism, make sure every city has an cheap archer.

5. City management

Moscow -- CMs -> OU we need to make the shrine useful. Spread to closer cities with religion 1st. send 1 galley back to take CMs to spread to islands.

SP -- cats/HAs/WEs, it's almost exhaust from whipping, whip a market when necessary.

Smo, Kha, Tv, Nov -- we need 4 spies from these cities.

Shanghai -- hammer tiles so plain cottages > Dye

Novos -- let it take the 2F3C tiles from Vla

The new island has 3 more sites to be settled. The only one available now is the south crab/clam site. Mur could produce a couple workers and let the other cities produce the other 2 settlers.
