Turn Discussion Thread

I hope were not wasting Cats on the Barb city, wanted to make sure of that.

2 Mace should be enough even if they have to heal a bit. Unless your worried that the Amazon would take and keep said Barb city.

We are not attacking the barbs with catapults. I am not that crazy. :crazyeye:

Juno has 88% odds against the barb archers:

Should we attack this turn and move the other mace from Rigel? We can whip the archer in Rigel this turn as well.

I am moving two of our Indiamen around to the south of Bode as HUSch suggested. One is only carrying 2 cats, but we can load more troops when we get to the south coast by Vega. To facilitate loading our ships for the invasion, I think we should build a road on this tile:

We move the third galleon (I 've moved) with a mace to Anjennida and then with the galleon the settler.
1worker near Rigel should go to the green south of Rigel and build a road , the other go at fp and build cottage, the worker will be building a road to the horse city (A) and can then move over the city tile to horse,
I would like the mace at Rigel for barbdefense from north.

The barb city has only pop 1 and no culture, so there is no chance for conquering only for destroy.
I would like to fight against the barb city in this turn, the settler is in 3 turns at Anjenn, and should found the Horse town.

I wait 2 hours, perhaps another can move.

HUSch - Hell hound, in Procyon, is free to move. Should I have him chop a jungle tile or mine the other hill? I think mining seems best to increase production there.

Also, Arc can now work another mined hill (+1F) rather than the grassland forest (+2F). Should we do that?

From work! :)

Moving the worker in Procyon is the last thing we have to do before I can end the turn. So I wanted your opinion on that and reassigning tiles in Arcturus.

Update: I finished the turn: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=9923591#post9923591

I moved the worker 1N to mine the other hill in Procyon. I did not change the tile assignments in Arcturus, since it's better to grow and get more production in in 3 turns than wait 9 turns.

Update 2: The next turn is up. Juno (who attacked the barb city) is healing and can be promoted. Should we give her City raider to speed up the healing? The EIman headed toward Anjennida can move 2E and the maceman can disembark to the SE. The road is finished 1S of Rigel, so we can move the mace there to reinforce Juno.

The mace is finished in Vega, and the pikeman is finished in Arcturus. I switched both cities to building trbs next. The other two East Indiamen are moving toward the south of Bode, as is our caravel (to pick up the spy).

The second worker in Procyon is free to move. Should we have him chop jungle?

maces should be get CR, is their best imo. Jno has 52 HP and get +5 7 turn healing. with CR he has 78 HP and in 2 turns when the other mace is there, I think he has a good chance (with CR + 88 HP) to fight again.

My idea for Alpha
farming the tile (east of Arc), and then with the next pop switch between hill-mine and farm to grow to pop 9.

LP should road the hill mine, 'll we found 1 or 2 cities at our south coast, then LP should road the next tiles to SW, or he can help Alpha at the farming.

HUSch- Sounds good. I'll play the turn in a few hours. I was out all day getting my car fixed. :gripe:

Update: Turn has been played: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=9929591#post9929591

My apologies, I missed HUSch's recommendation for AlphaShard, and moved him 1S to chop/mine the hill in Procyon rather than move him to build the farm in Arcturus. I'm not sure if it's better to move him back toward Arcturus, or just have him chop where he is and let hell hound build the farm.

Also, should we move up the Espionage slider on Mavs? We have plenty of gold for now. I presume we want to use the spy to incite city revolt.

New turn update: The caravel at the North of Anjennida survived an attack from a barb galley. The settler is finished in Sirius (East Indiaman next as a placeholder), and granary whipped in Procyon (another WB next?).

It's correct, to chop, better is you road first, then can the other help, we 've more possibilities for working the tiles. Imo hills should be roaded first, if there is no time pressure.

btw our caravel has won against a barb galley, but is heavy injured (hits 4:5). I hope our barb fights against the archers are better in 2 turns, when we want to found the horse city. Should we go with the 3. mace there, he could make sure the victory.

btw I 've changed the working tiles to grow this turn in Sirius and Canopus. Look at it, if you can take the proposition as good, if not change back.

Sorry HUSch, I think I understood that, but I should have AlphaShard road the hill he's standing on first, then have him chop, then mine. Correct?

I just want to make sure you don't want me to move AlphaShard back the the tile marked "farm" this turn.

Also, I saw that the caravel was attacked. I mentioned it in my last post, and it should be healing.

Never back now (it would cost 2 turns). Build a road and then we can decide.

The cara has 2/2 XP, what kind of promotion should we choose next turn? I would like flanking for navigation later.

I 've looked again and Amazon proposed a map deal, i agree, we see now Merlots territory

Tristero
You can move agent goes onboard, the galleons land the units at Bode, and go on to the sea between Mav territory.
The settler goes on board and the galleon goes to Anjen
The mace near the city,
Idon't know about the mace in Rigel, should he go also or remain there.

Look at the cities, perhaps you want to change the working tiles, then do it.

I made the moves HUSch suggested, and I had HUSch (the worker near Rigel) move 1SW and build a road toward the horse city. After we drop off the settler, the East Indiaman will move back to Sol and pick up the macemen from AC and Canopus and then move toward the south of Bode.

HUSch - Is there a reason we are working the clams in Procyon rather than the pigs? I would like to grow it more quickly then we can whip or build another settler. I think it is time to consider settling the 4th city on Sol and the copper/clams spot on Bode. Increased production would help us greatly.

Also a more general question (for the team): Many wonders are still available and we have stone and marble. Should we build any? If we got a GP (Ankor Wat) we could build a shrine.

I think we could build University of Sankore and/or Chichen Itza, both seem rather cheap. One each different cities so we could get a Prophet in one and then Scientist in another for more Academy's.

Also I had this idea today thinking how if we took the Maverick city that has the Pyramids we could switch to US and be able to buy buildings for our cities with the gold were stocking up.

I think the Pyramid city should be our first target. Both for the wonder and because we grab the city farthest from us first, preventing Quatronia from coming in and grabbing it.

One other general point: we are sending a spy to Mavericks island. I think now would be the time to run the Espionage at 100% for a few turns. Yes?
