Not really. Southerners were pretty vital in Harry Truman's VP nomination over Henry Wallace in 1944, Wallace being quite a bit too far left for the Southerners' comfort. The alliance between New Deal Democrats and Southern Democrats was pretty uneasy from the start.

Tokyo's metro is cleaner, faster, and more prompt than New York's. But that's to be expected with a much newer system. Coverage area is excellent with both systems. The biggest disadvantage of Tokyo's system is the sardine factor - I dont know if I'd like to be dry-humping a Japanese businessman every morning and afternoon.
Speaking of New York, it seems like white flight has been reversing there for many years.

That certainly isn't the case in Minneapolis; you can tell the people that are working there don't live there. The people that do live there are, generally speaking, gangbangers and hoodlums that stand outside of City Center.

Well, I took part in "white flight", so yes, I guess I do.
No, it is not good that minorities are destroying our cities, but white flight in itself is neither good nor bad, I suppose. It could possibly be a little bad. If whites stayed in the cities they might be able to change things.

Nope. These people refuse to speak English and they hang onto a culture that I just can't grasp. They drive around in the middle of the night blasting gangsta and "salsa" music to the point that I can't get a single hour of consecutive sleep. The minority neighborhoods are infested with drugs, gangs, trash, and graffiti. Racist? I am sure that there is an element of racism with some people, but most just want to get away from it all -- even some good black and hispanic families.

What about the many whites who also participate in this behavior (re: Eminem rofl) and the general trailer trash stereotype? We should get away from this too, which is why we stay out of Arkansas and Alabama, right?

The fake gangsta thing happens every where, and yes I am blaming TV.As far as the blasting salsa you get a ticket for having your music over X amount of decibles so that never happens here. ....maybe I am desensitysed from living in the semi-burbs, I just don't recognize it as a race thing so much as a poor person thing, no one claims the poor white people in naked city are trying to "hold on to some culture" they call them tweakers on section 8 .....
I get the feeling more and mopre now that people only see culture as language,food and music. (from OT anyway in the real world everyone seems to get along pretty well)

I don't really see it as a problem.
I overstated my claim. I have never lived in any other major city other than Reading, Pennsylvania. They (now majorities) are destroying it. That is a fact. The City of Reading was a fine place to live until the hispanics started to move in. All of the sudden there are a dozen "Latino gangs" fighting gang/drug wars all over the place. The streets are littered and vandalism is rampant.
How is it intolerant of me to want people to speak English and not blast their gangbanger music at two o'clock in the morning so I can get some freakin' sleep?

I have white neighbors down the road we constantly use our dead end road as a private racing track while playing bad thrash metal at midnight. Should I call them the n word for being a minority problem?

There are a significant number of whites in my city who participate in similar, if not identical activities. If I am correct, there is really only one true white gang in Reading. However, the violence and drug problem is almost entirely commited by hispanics and blacks.
I've never been to Arkansas or Alabama, so I cannot confirm nor deny your estimation of the situation there. I can tell you that there are areas of this country inhabited by majority whites that I would equally not wish to live in. Some of the reasons are similar and some are different.

I am confused. Have I, at any point, suggested that you call black people by the aforementioned racial monicker?

I was merely trying to illustrate that its not just the demonized minorities that commit crimes. While the incarcination rate is higher for blacks and hispanics, it is not nearly the ratio you described. Hell, there are even many asian gangs.
Another badly done parallel explanation, my argumentive tactics are not up to task tonight, nevertheless, you know what I meant.

While I am young, and I have not solidified my views on socialism, I am quite eclectic in regards to different ideas and methods. I guess I'm the closest to a western European left wing socialist.

I do not recall ever stating any kind of ratio. There are at least two Asian gangs in Reading.
