CivStats.com - View your Pitboss games on the web

I know in the Always Peace Revived game here, Obey kept having the same problem. He downgraded from 1.5 to 1.0.0.1 and it seems to be working again. Though the Score Graph and Leader listings are still all screwed up. But at least the turn detail is correct again.

Was this a response for my problem?

Most likely going to 1.0.0.1 will fix your problem.

Sorry for all of these problems! Hopefully the project I'm working on at work will ship this week and then I'll actually have some free time to work on the site.

FYI The Iliad ran into problems at 0 AD with the latest release. The issues appear to be similar to those described earlier in this thread.

I have reloaded the previous version (1.0.0.1.)

Bolkonsky. ;)

Yes I have another game with the same issue that I am hosting. The turn indicator still works but turns are not reflected - always shows 0AD and the score image is not available.

Nope as soon as you put the latest 1.5 on ... 0 AD shows up on the civstats page. Put the old version 1.0.0.1 and 175 AD shows up. New version definitely foobarred.

New Uploader Version Released
Get it on the downloads page over at Civstats.

This fixes that nasty 0 AD problem. It should be safe for all games to upgrade to this new version now. Please let me know right away if anything isn't working.

Overlord - did you roll the port fix into that as well? Thanks!~

Oh, yeah! I think...

I'm almost positive I made the change in my source when I was looking in to the issue but never put together a release. If that's true, then that is fixed in this release. I'll need to double check the source though.

Hi,
I'm having problems using CivStats Uploader with the FfH mod.

First, a bit of a non-issue: the FfH mod reports years in a format "yr 137", where the year is directly the current turn number (example of the title in the PitBoss main screen: "game1 - Age of Rebirth, yr 137"). I've tested uploader versions 1.0.0.1 and 1.5.1.0, both report an error (in the log file): "ERROR: Regex for getting Year did not match anything".

But, the more hampering problem: when the uploader is started, the "PnFinished" value of all players is reported correctly ("1" or ""), and when the players complete their turns, the value changes accordingly. However, when the turn changes, all players are still reported as "1", i.e. as if everyone would already have completed their turns. If I restart the uploader, the "Finished" values are once again reported correctly.

I guess the latter problem could be linked to the former one. Would it be possible to somehow fix this?

Best regards,
Civistys

Could you take a screenshot of the Pitboss admin window when running FfH? I'd like to see what little differences there are. I didn't know mods could change how the year was reported to Pitboss... that's a pretty big problem because it's not just the uploader that expects it to be in a particular format; the entire web script expects the BC/AD format as well.

Sure, screenshot of Pitboss with FfH.

I'm actually using the uploader with my own webserver, to feed game data for our IRC bot which in turn notifies people on the channel when the turn changes - thanks for developing the uploader, wouldn't be possible without it! Of course, there might be other people running FfH games and using the CivStats web site who would be delighted to see it working :)

It looks like you fixed the problem with CLOSE_WAIT, haven't seen it occur since I installed the new version :) Thanks!!

Any chance the BtS leaders will be added anytime soon?

Not until version 2.0; it's too much of a pain in my current horrible system. Which would be relatively soon if the damn gaming industry would calm down for like FIVE MINUTES. GEEZE GUYS I HAVE WORK TO DO STOP RELEASING A FANTASTIC GAME EVERY WEEK PLEASE THANKS.

Seriously, this season is deadly for productivity. I will eventually get around to this, and I'm sorry it's taking so long.

I suppose I could offer a helping hand. The question is, what needs doing?

I'm in the middle of a major code rewrite. As in, I'm rewriting every inch of code. The version 1 code started as a tiny little project so I could see my own pitboss game on a webpage, and it kind of exploded in to what it is now without me even noticing. Now trying to add anything to it is a huge mess.

Now that I actually know what I want the end product to be, I've been able to rewrite it in far less code and in such a way that I can add new features very easily. The only problem is that rewrite itself kind of takes a while. It's not really anything I could use help with because I need to be intimately familiar with the code, at least at the level I'm writing it now.
