CFC Parliament: Constitution Discussion

I think we should include a Vice PM.

I also think the supreme court should be separate.

I think we should include a Vice PM.

I think the proper Parliament term would be Deputy PM. This is, after all, a parliament, and not a congress.

I'm not sure about a deputy PM. I think it should be up to the PM to decide whether or not there will be one.

It seems to be a bit both.

Deputy PM sounds better, you are right.
But the question is what powers will the Deputy PM have.

Well, if we're going to have a new election should the PM be MIA or resign, then what would the purpose of a deputy or vice prime minister be?

I suppose it could be like a personal Cabinet...but that's maybe as far as I could take it, unless you guys enlighten me.

What work does the PM do besides veto bills and get to propose bills and a budget, why do we need a Deputy PM?

In case the Prime Minister leaves for a planned absence; the Deputy can take over for the time he/she's gone.

Issue statements, tour the country in lieu of the PM, call the president of a foreign country a terrible hatemonger, form a shadow government...there's plenty for a vice to do! :)

If he's in a Cabinet or some sort, that is. None of those are really official powers or duties.

Well depending how the games is play they may need to talk about current issues if it is the real world and like if a tsunami happened they might have to make a pres release or something like that.
A GM would bring that up in the right thread. I don't see the point of the deputy PM as the office has no powers that any officer doesn't have.

He can do all that without having an official office. And touring the country is kinda silly as there is no actual country to tour.

The GM would decide the event i think, and the Dep PM would decide how the country will respond.

What? Would the parliament decide how the nation responds. I don't see the point of adding a useless position. I would rather a new PM is elected rather than a deputy PM taking his place. And what happened to the states.

Well, I'm kinda guessing that people will probably appoint deputies anyway, regardless of whether our constitution includes them or not. It'd be useful for getting everyone you want in Cabinet, in Cabinet.
