Nuke Nes: After Victoria

Hmmm, thats a bit rude.. you asked a big investment and did not back it up yourself.

i'll finish this turn, dont worry. you had crap load of money this turn, while UCSA was fighting a war, and you never told me it had to be finished this turn. but that doesnt get me off the hook. UCSA will compensate for it somehow.

I'm very very sorry. Personally, I'm completely unable to make any orders this weekend. It requires too much energy from me, and I'm pretty much out of it :(

Can't you just NPC me this turn, fight the war with South America at least to a stalemate, pay 5 IC for the Science group with Sweden, Germany, Belgium and the rest on soldiers?

And it's ok with the delayed update. :)

ASIAN INVASION!

While the Americans were occupied with the Mexicans and Texans, the Japanese betrayed the Americans! After signing a Defensive alliance with Japan, the American ships were heading back to port, when suddenly, The USS Maryland fell into the sea. No one knew what was happening, until the Americans realized that their Japanese “allies” were firing at them. It was no good, and the Americans lost 2 battleships, and several other fine ships. Please see below for more information.

(UCSA: -1 Battleship, +40 Irregular divisions)

The Northern assault

Things for this front started good, ended badly. The Japanese landed and captured Manhattan island with ease, and started an assault on mainland America. They rolled through New Jersey and Connecticut, and had their sights on Boston until Professor Arthur B. Henry at Harvard led several citizens into guerilla warfare, utilizing the New England Winter, driving the Japanese back. The Japanese are still determined however to continue the war.

(-4 Japanese Infantry, -10 American Irregulars)

The Middle Assault

It was a dark day for the country. The flag of the Empire under the Sun was flying above the White house. The last minute American defenses in D.C. were no match for the huge Japanese attack, but it seems for every American dead, that is 5 Japanese. The Japanese have pushed into and taken Baltimore as well, and have connected with the northern front.

(-8 Japanese Infantry, -6 American irregulars)

The Southern Assault

The South was the most difficult to subjugate. Still having the Confederate spirit in them, many have taken up arms against this invasion. After their brilliant landing, the Japanese have been forced into fighting an enemy using all out Guerilla warfare. The Japanese have nearly been pushed out of the south now, and need reinforcements.

(-5 Japanese Infantry, -5 American Irregulars)

Blockades work both ways???

In a shocking new development in naval war, it has been discovered that blockades can be used both ways. Traditionally, blockades have been used to keep an enemy in. However, recent studies and battles show that a blockade can actually stop ships coming in. The Japanese navy was astonished that they were beaten, and the Americans were surprised that someone would try to attack the other side of a blockade. The Japanese Naval Advisor has yet to comment, but this has allowed the Americans to go upon the Mexicans with ease.

(Japan: -1 Battleship, -3 Heavy cruisers)

The Great Southern War

Following the complete route of the Texan Army, and the destruction of the Japanese Caribbean Task force, the Americans only had one thing left to do; capture Mexico city. The American army has completely overwhelmed the feeble Mexican defenses, and Mexico city, along with the Emperor has been captured. This has made many people agree that the UCSA has the best trained army on earth, as well as shown that Armored divisions can do more than support.

(Mexico: -15 Infantry, UCSA: -6 Infantry, -1 Marine Divisions, -1 Armored division)

In other, nice cuddly news, Alaska has been sold to Canada

Great war continues

Due to the absence of the Queen in several war meetings, the progress has gone rather slow, save for the victories in Argentina. Chile continues to press forward, and is stopped by Brazilian machine gun. The war has become increasingly unpopular in Chile, and may face rebellion or invasion if nothing happens.

Civil War over

The Civil War is over! Following the incredible naval battle in the Republican attempt to land an army in Southern Spain, the Communists had too few troops to hold their Fortress. After deserters and the destruction of the army, the Nationalists were able to use superior numbers to destroy the Republican position. There were several partisans in the new government, but after the destruction of the Republican navy and the heavy siege of Libreria Fortaleza it was only a matter of time. The final blow came when an assassin, some claim to be from a foreign government, killed Deperezi. There was no inspiring figure now for the Communist movement, as Libreria Fortaleza surrendered, and the people of Spain decided to see how they will do with Empress Anastasia on their throne.

(-Republican Spain, Nationalist Spain: - 10 Heavy cruisers, -30 Light cruisers, -12 Infantry, -10% Dissent)

Protests in Austria

Following the Austro Turk War, several peoples in Austria, like Bulgarians and Romanians have begun asking and protesting for independence.. While these have not become armed, these could become very serious.

(+10% Dissent for Austria)

Italia Unificia

Benito Mussolini, who sometimes refers to himself as the next Fredrick II, has declared that the Sicilian monarchy is corrupt and inefficient, and the way to a strong Italy, is unified. So, an all out war was planned. Following the attacks on Rome and Naples, the royal family has escaped to Sicily, and the Tuscan troops win victory after victory showing the glory of the incredible Tuscan army. No one knows what will happen, though it is thought the British or Dutch will intervene on the Sicilian side

(-8 Tuscan Infantry, -10 Sicilian Infantry)

Lowlands Invade!

Following their unification, Queen Wilhelmina wanted more land. She looked around the globe for possible targets. She settled on Arabia, a weak and uncivilized nation. The Arabians were completely off guard, and after the destruction of the Arabian navy, a heavy Dutch attack destroyed Arabia’s army. Only resistance groups fight the Dutch now

(Lowlands: -3 Infantry Arabia: -5 Infantry, -5 Light Cruisers)

Great update Nuke Kid!

Although you say the US lost two battleships, it says they lost one in the numbers.

From Australia
To the World

We condemn Japan's backstabbing of the United States, it is an atrocity and a gross violation of diplomatic ethics. As such, we will cut off diplomatic ties with Japan until they would be willing to negotiate a peace treaty with the United States.

We are happy to see Spain reunited once more.

What are those things bordering China? There's a pale yellow one next to the blue one right under it. What are those?

From Italy

As Il Duce said, Spain cannot stand divided. Now it is united, and soon Italy will follow.

To the "Sicilian" Army and Navy
From the Italian Government

Naples and Rome have fallen, Italian blood has been shed by Italians, and the pretender to the Roman throne has fled to Sicily. The Italian Social Republic offers general, unconditional, amnesty, but any who continue to remain in arms against the rightful government will be branded traitors. Former officers and soldiers of the Neapolitan armies who choose to join the Italian army will have all rank, medals, and seniority transferred over.
