Thank for the offer but i guess there not much chance of the game arriving much sooner if i get it from germany, oh ill just have to bash those Saxons in Barbarian Invasion to make me feel better :joke:

Kick it like Ballack! ;)

manual is German (seen it on pictures)!

Who's doing the voiceovers in the German Version? Anyone we know or the German voice of Leonard Nimoy???

Maybe they got David Hasselhoff, he's big over there. ;)

so,since i have 2 monitors here,i can put some comments in...first thing i noticed was the intro (which of course we all have already seen it) which was giving me goose bumps...the music in the intro and the game is maybe the best music I have ever heard in a computer game,it adds a lot of atmosphere

Okay so in conclusion, germany has the european version of Civ4, wich was actually supose to be released at nov 4th or something in that direction.

So WHY is the european release 4th of Nov as it shows its already available for Germans now, heck even sooner then for like almost all US ppl.

I seriously wonder who the hell took care of the release and distribution for Firaxis/Take2.

You should call the shop first... Media Markt HH Altona had no clue what I'm talking about when I asked about Civ 4....

Already tried that, but no one answered the phone - I'll just go look, as it's not far - and 2 other posters said MM had it. If it's not there, I'll go on an odyssee... try Saturn and whatever... I'm not going home till I have it!:D

AFAIK you could put them up right here! (Click the go advanced-button, there you have much more choices when posting!)

just a pic of final release...i will add more later tonight, since i gotta go to a soccer tournament now...hope you guys can wait that long :)

very nice for the german version (or the european version as it should be called) is that you can even change the language after you have installed the game...so you can just switch the language in the options menu before starting a game.

Just reached Media Markt Stuttgart Feuerbach and they confirm they have it in stock - a whole stack, the guy said!

Looks like Media Markt has it generally - I guess Stilgar just called too soon in Hamburg ;)

Don't expect to see me here this evening...:D

Har, today was the first time in over 10 years that I bought a german version of a game. Luckily it's multilanguage so I'll survive :p
Only drawback is the german manual and techtree (which is very nice, almost reason enough to buy a UK version too)

oh and I have a 4 day weekend coming up (tuesday = national holiday and we agreed with our prof that getting up on monday for one class isn'T worth it :D)
:goodjob:

ok guys...2 more before i have to go... :)

ok now i really have to leave for soccer...ill be posting more pics later tonight while I play...

To Private Byrne:

it was mentioned in the Q&A advertised on the main screen:

American Revolution
WWII Desert + Mediterranean

already known, but also:

Ancient Greece (Spartans? Athens? Persians?)
Europe 1000AD (Holy Roman Empire? Normans? Saxons?)

Purely speculation in the brackets...
