Prussia has declared war on Austria to show its support. Diplomats were sent to the remaining nations not at war. It is hoped Tsar Alexander I & The Sultan of the Ottoman Empire will see that force needs to be taken against France & her Allies.

British Household Cavalry trapped & betrayed in Austria have taken revenge on the city of Salzburg. Though suffering no losses the British High Command feels that these troops will not survive the winter. Reports state that French Cav. & Austrian Hussars are within sight of the gutted city.

"Royal Navy Victorious Over Swedes"

After landing troops at the open city of Oslo.
The Royal Navy under the command of Admiral Cabot closed with the Swedish Navy.
Taking only minimum damage the Royal Navy sunk a frigate & troop transport. The Swedish MOW Wasa was captured.

It has to do with making sure you report any declaration of war.
The screen doesn't come up and say Austria has declared war on Great Britian.
Report later means nothing Big happened.
Hell you could have said it in the sav. email.

Is bad that you disbanded the city. You did that because you want to attack me by that gap. I'm not sure why your Cavalery was so advanced in Austria teritory... but i guess...

How about you could have reported then sent the sav.
Salzburg was destoryed because.
1. I could not hold it with the force I have.
2. Austria would have cut my force in half.
3. Your French cavalry would have taken the city.
4. Austria needed punished.

Tsar Alexander has summoned the British Ambassador in St Petersburg for an immediate dressing down. The Tsar feels that there was no justification for the sacking of Salzburg, and the Tsar is most disappointed to see the British, of all nations, resort to such barbarity.

I really have doubts if MPPs are appropriate in this scenario. My understanding of this period is of one defined by Alliances rather than MPPs.
I quickly found myself drawn into wars I had not planned for when playing this scenario solo and have tended to avoid them thereafter. MPPs seem more relevant to late (as opposed to early) 19th century politics.
Yes, I have signed a MPP (with Russia) in this game. However a player nation is more likely to use a different decision making process to the AI.
It seems that the AI use MPPs as a method of recruiting allies for war rather than defence against invasion by a stronger power. Maybe they should be renamed, or at least have the word protection dropped. In this context Prussia and Austria in Liberty, Equality, Fraternity had a MPP rather than an alliance. We agreed to support each other in common goals but not to declare war on every enemy the other attacked.
Henceforth the Ottoman Empire will not sign any new MPPs (with the AI) though it will honor any agreements already signed. In addition it will only declare paper wars against countries that are attacked by nations it has MPPs with. In other words Ottoman foreign policy will not be dictated by nations it has treaties with. The Ottomans will offer Mutual Support Pacts (MSP) in the future or sign alliances which will expire at the conclusion of hostilities or at the end of an agreed time.

Devoted Oslo citizens worked hard in last weeks and trained a Imperial Guard. Captain from Oslo expect a victory. Sweden also helped a bit and lowered British morale by cavalery attack.
In Italy Marshal Devout ordered to counterattack an incoming British army. All units were killed and 1 canon was captured. He used only votiguers (6) and his army corp. 3 Votiguers were lost (from wich 2 conscripts). Marshal does preparations for a attack over Florence. Soldiers are happy to have him close.
After Spain did not give a ferm response to the first offer of peace France diplomats were sent again to Spain to convince their diplomats to cancel MPP with Prussia and sign peace.
Napoleon has in hands some information that will not reveal for now.

I don't like wiping out cities in this game BECAUSE there is no settlers. However, I don't think it should be banned. King George is probably doing more damage than good in terms of international relations

Hey,
Great Britain will persue the war in any way she pleases.
If it means turning other nations against her, so be it.
If that means denying the French SOD a city to heal in.
Then so be it.
France starts with 2 armys & NO war weariness. If I feel its in the best interest of England to burn a city I will.
