Suggestion of new full civis to be done

Excellent - it would be nice to see a LH for Oba Ewuare the Great!

I can't find any pictures of him, unfortunately. However, I do have a picture of the current Oba, Erediauwa...

And this is his predecessor, Akenzua II...

That should give you a rough idea!

not bad, as for Karadjordje you should change hair and mustache, here are some images that you could use:

and here you can see images of some other Serbian rulers which you use for reference for era specific leader head:

thanks for the references! :goodjob:

Unfortunally I didn't have a better moustache prop, the same problem occured with my Peruvian leader, the hair I'll check if I have a closer prop :)

I absolutely love the Bulgarian! Karadjordje is nice, too. Can't wait to see the other eras... :goodjob:

These r the characteristics of the civ of Benin. I think the best unit is the mounted one which rescue one of the greatest leader of this civ of a foreign empire and ruled the region for 200 years, I named it Yoruba Cavalry (this leader was the chief of Yorba). I found to African mounted units done by DPII, they r:

Good stuff with Benin. Don't have Yoruba as a city, though, since that is the name of a people, not a city.

I don't know much about what would be a good UU for them. Certainly cavalry were important to the Yoruba, so if you're thinking of the Yoruba as a client state of Benin then that would make sense. Don't use the second of the two units as that's a fantasy unit riding a horse painted to look like a zebra... I think the first one is intended to be for the Songhai or for Ghana, but it might suit.

Have a look at http://www.hamillgallery.com/BENIN/BeninHorsemen/BeninHorseman02.html for a stylised impression of what a Benin cavalry unit might actually have looked like - truly funky headgear!

excellent work CivArmy!!! i must've missed this post when i was out-of-town last week.

i just love it that the Islands are finally getting there due.

if i could make a suggestion or two...

i would consider assigning the "Religious" civ trait to them instead of the scientific (Catholic).

i've never heard of a "Batangueño" before. i'd say that if you want to capture the UU for them during the Philippine-American War, i'd go w/ a "Boloman" which is a fellow with a sword. a guerilla-type dude w/ a Mauser rifle would also suffice as this was Aguinaldo's best-equipped soldier during the conflict w/ the US.

Thanks for have enjoyed! :) I can change the UU name, but about the bonuses, I have choosen Scientific, cos Phillipines has one modern center for development of softwares, well, the texts that I read said that. Since I have many Religious civis and few Scientific ones, I think I could give this bonuses for Phillipines. Well, another option could be replace Industrious for Religious, what do u think? :)

Thanks man and thanks for the UU figure I'll try to do a similar one, I love this horseman unit :) BTW, I'll remove the "Yoruba" of the city list.

CivArmy,

okay. i understand. however, i'd probably remove the "industrious" flag in favor of the "religious" one b/c the Catholic friars had a stranglehold on the islands until the americans decentralized their authority (through the Vatican nonetheless!).

anyhow, here's a pic of Aguinaldo's 'regulars'. note that they weren't necessarilly guerillas in the true sense b/c they were armed w/ Mausers and were organized. once the Filipinos began to suffer one defeat after another though, they disbamded and resorted to guerrilla warfare some time around 1900 or so.

also, if you want to be really modern and include the "Industrious" flag, the island of Mindanoa is practically owned by the fruit company Dole. no kidding!

So, I'll replace Industrious for Religious ;) BTW, the unit image reference doesn't work :( it doesn't appear in the thread and I tried direct link and it doesn't work there too :(
Do u suggest it replacing another unit and not guerilla? I choice guerilla, cos these untis r available in this industrial time, close of the time of the was against USA.

hmm...that's weird b/c i can see it. anyways, here is another pic i uploaded instead.

the american term for these soldiers was insurrectos or insurgents. they were essentially considered rebels b/c they were rebelling against american authority. however, the politically correct term for them would likely be soldiers of the Army of Liberation.
