Earth map, 24 civs [for Warlords]

Is there a way to turn tech trading off on this mod? I play no tech trading so I had a bit of a surprise when I saw I could trade techs. 'Course im a gamer so I traded. Then found the new world. Then traded. Then goof'd around as I was so far ahead.

Gawd I hate tech trading. It makes the game go too fast.

yes you are right with the early warfare but I did not mean that. The point is: at first, the civilizations only start with one warrior or one scout. And they use them for scouting (generally). But if the warriors are far enough from their cities, their cities left undefended. So I conquer their cities in the early game with only one (and the same) warrior unit which is given me at the start of the game (do I make myself clear?). Just ignore those borders. Cross - walk right to their cities and conquer without any difficulty. :)

is this true on all difficulties? on unmodded civ the AIs start with archers on monarch. so i've never tried rushing with my initial warrior, hmm i wonder if this map is different

yes. i was able to toggle on aggressive AI and turn off some victory conditions, and select no tech trading for my inca game
 
Archer's on monarch??? Well I play with noble difficulty but I do not see any archers in the early game without having the tech "Archery". You perhaps change your options to "Ancient" + "Marathon" + "No Tech Trading" + "No City Razing" in the custon game menu... Does this work?

on monarch AIs start with 2 archers (plus worker & scout/warrior). they can't build more until they research the tech but their capitols become immune to quick rushing.

i don't know if this map is different, haven't tried rushing immediately with my warrior
 
Oh my! This I didn't know. I never play with monarch because in my opinion it is not fair. Good luck to you romelus, but I recomment you take my advice and have a funny game. Cheers!!! :)
 
How do you turn on the AIs for multiplayer? I want 24 civ with my roommate but it won't let me turn them to AI.
 
I think the the tile (the tile with the sheep) at the east of Istanbul (Look at Turkey) should be a 'coast' to seperate Asia and Europe...(Like the way it is) Otherwise the game thinks the Black sea is a 'lake' and doesn't allow ship building in the cities which are built on the coast of Black Sea....
 
I was wondering... does anybody know how to change the custom-game options for this map? Specifically, I want raging barbs and permanent-alliances to be turned on.
 
just click custom scenario in the main page of the game... (you're welcome!)
 
I dunno if this would be too much to ask, but any chance you could make a guide for adding the 24-civs feature to other mods; for instance I would quite like to play EDU+Formations/Regiments on a huge earth map with 24 civs (...Could be virtual memory suicide but ill give it a go lol)

It does not alter any of the Vanilla Game play other than 24 civs and adds a whole hell of a lot of graphics and enhancements.

I can't seem to download the file. I get to the download screen and it offers me "open file" or "save to disk" as usual, but the OK button is grayed out. Any ideas? :(

EDIT: Never mind, it was just my very slow internet connection. It's fine now. :)
 
Rhye among other things why not add a horse resource near Carthage.
Carthage is really weakened and not fun in this map because they can't use their UU.
Historically it would also make sense considering that they used Numidian Cavalry during wars.
 
So, i couldn't wait until you posted the new DLL, so I took the time to get all the modding tools and compiling a new dll. I changed the number of players to 24, and it loads up fine, and seems to work. I have not played a full game yet, but it seems to work.(for the others who can't seem to wait ;)
