A showdown in Lois seems inevitable, a resolution to the problems at hand. Philip amasses a mighty force and heads to the Capital of Lois, Litha. Ulthar notes that everything is going to plan, and shores up the forces at Litha. Also raising many levees, but these men are not put to the defence of Litha and are taken elsewhere. Philip wins a series of battles to the North of Litha, and begins to cut off cupply to Litha, additionally he begins to forge links with the Nobility in the area, for when he defeats Ulthar.
Ulthar realising his current situation, leaves a small force to defend Litha, and moves a large force east in an attempt to escape Philip. Philip chases Ulthar, what ensures is a series of minor skirmishes as Philip tries to tie down Ulthar and defeat him. This continues for a full Campaigning season, Philip then receives news that the North has been taken by a minor general of Ulthar's. And that this general has forged links between Ulthar and the Northen Cities and stolen Philips support base. Philip ceases communications with the Northen Cities in an attempt to keep the Levees under control, so that they do not abandon the Army.
Ulthar then leads Philip to Litha again. Philip pressed for time realises he cannot sit still, for word will reach the army of the Northen Cities change of allegiance, and that he must take the City Immediatly. Philip gets his best men, and has them spearhead an assualt on the walls. They are rebuffed, and forced to wait out the siege. Word arrives, and many of the levees abandon the army. Philip realises Ulthar has won. And with some diehards moves east exiling themselves.
Ulthar triumphant, tightens his grip on the nation, builds up the economy, and expands to the west and north. However Stability is still a major problem, and Signod still holds land Claimed by Lois.
To the East, Darude makes several quick strikes againts Fita, using its suprior navy to quickly isolate and destroy enemy armies on the shore. Fita begins to crumble, but appeals to Eriade for help, even going as far as to submit to them, Eriade attacks on two fronts, although it holds back its navy, seeking to preserve them, not having enought to defeat Daruds navy, but not being so insignificant as to allow Darude to sweep them away. The Emperor plans a counter-attack, but this has not yet been carried out.
(NPC Casualties)
To the North, the war continues, but this time the Krengal clans have the edge, a rather strong edge. The opening phase is rather ironic, in that both sides created a large number of fires to act as a decoy to create the impression of a vast horde, and then skirmished with each other. To prevent the other side from advancing. Most of the action occured nearer the Centre, and once the Krengel Clans realised the situation to the south, they rectified their plans quickly, moving a largish force north, and waited...and waited. The Izanagi assualted, the Krengels ambushed them. The Iznanagi fled. The Krengels took the lands of the Izanagi. The Izanagi to the South Skirmishing, fled, and have not been heard from since. Once the Krengel Khan had won, he got extremely drunk, and generally allowed his warriors to enjoy themselves.
He was not in the bet of moods to receive the news that Singod had come back accros the wasteland they had produce and this time seemed intent on taking land, they had taken a large portion of the former Krengel Lands, and even taken the space where the Krengels so called capital was, however it being a point on the map rather than anything else this did not change much, and of course much of the wealth was moved long before Abaddon arrived...Additionally some of Abaddons riders where lost exploring the northen lands, reports petered out at news of a lake to the north, but distance, increasingly bad weather, and more hostile natives has led these reports to all but dry up.
As of yet these two forces have not yet fought, but it is merely a matter of time.
(-2000 Krengel Cavalry, -5000 Krengel Levees, -50 Abaddons Riders)
