I have played only a few turns since a new problem turned out. Mansa has declared on HC and has already taken Vilcamba. If he takes Berlin we could be in real trouble

. I think the situation calls for some "deperate" measures and that's why I have stopped for discussion.
Mansa capturing Berlin would be very bad for our prospects. This mean that we must either declare on Mansa to prevent him from capturing Berlin or declare on HC and capture Berlin back. Best option seems to be to capture Berlin ourselves. This lead me to the somewhat risky idea of bribing as many as our friends as possible to go to war with HC

. If we are lucky it will make them vote for us in the next elections because they will start disliking HC due to the war. I checked and saw that Mao, Hatty, Kublai, Caesar and Alex can all be bribed to go to war with HC. If we get their votes and manage to keep Gandhi and Vicky's votes we could win. If we fail we have to capture Berlin before any of our friends (and Mansa!) but that should be doable. Worst case we could cash rush a galleon in a city near Berlin and move some military over there. As far as I can see we don't have much to loose anyway. And we might as well act before the next election comes up in 1748.
