DirectX 9 ????

Has anyone downloaded the beta and tried it with civ 3?

I'm thinking of being the guinea pig

Someone said they got it to work with 7 so I might just use that if possible.

Yes. Mine works fine (so far) with DirectX7a . I am using a Dell Inspiron laptop, WinME, GeForce2Go graphics.

Give it a try if you already have DX7a. It can't hurt. Whereas putting a beta version of DX9 may cause problems. Don't know. I'm playing it safe for now.
