Mods/Scenario Trouble

Each time a open up a game with a mod or scenario, the computer freezes after the biography load screen. Regular games work fine, but I am extremely upset, because I really wished to play a Mod of Ice and Fire(Game of Thrones mod) and several other scenarios. I would really appreciate any help.

Is your problem with all mods and scenarios, or just the Ice and Fire mod? Having just read the Ice and Fire thread, I see that mod is unplayable for some, but that a patch is available. The link to the patch is given near the end of that thread.
