Steam updates?

When you start steam and it does an update is there any way to tell WHAT got updated?

An audit trail somewhere?

I don't mean 'what in Civ' I mean 'which of my steam games just got updated'.

Uhh well uhm i'm not sure.. i generally look for info on this forum if something got updated on civ5..

Steam doesn't update games when it starts, when you download an update directly after you started steam, then that's an update of the steam-client itself, and when it does so you should get patchnotes. If the client doesn't display any patchnotes and it's only the blanket "Updating Steam..."-Popup, then that's usually just steam verifying its files from what I can tell.

When steam downloads game-updates, then those should be shown as downloads in your game library.

Indeed, you can tell in the download screen what games have been updated.
