Warlord
Awhile ago I replaced my old computer with a (sigh) windows 8 computer, and I transferred all my files to the new one.
I'm in the mood to play civ4 again after some time away, so, experimentally, I clicked on those files to run the program, and it seemed to work. I loaded up an old save game in a mod and it looked OK.
My question is, will I be OK just playing the game as it is, or will I run into problems later because of some files (perhaps in the registry) that needed to be installed with the discs? I still have those discs, but it would take a lot of time to reinstall everything, patch it up, add mods, and transfer the hall of fame files.
