Music to Civ by

For me, it is mostly Pink Floyd, nowadays a stream called Kaos Sound, full of Floyd covers and such. But somebody already mentioned that compulsion.

I was struck recently by an old favorite that came up on another station I was listening to. Al Stewart did a lot of songs based on historical events. For me, the best and most Civ, is Roads to Moscow.

I told my dog, "Dog, play Dead."
My dog replied, "Play Floyd instead!"

That's right ! The Grateful Dead are far overrated !
Los Angeles has bred so many better bands :goodjob:

London is an entirely different sound.

Aaah ! I was going to forget... Music to Civ by. Beware, if you try it, you'll adopt it :

The soundtrack to Cirque de Soleil's Totem is pretty fitting, given that its theme was the history of the world from when animals crawled out of the sea to space travel.

And how can we forget Christopher Tin's Calling all Dawns?

If going for a conquest victory, when marching on your enemies last cities play "The Four Horsemen". My all time favorite Metallica song.

I'll third "Two Steps From Hell". Available on Spotify as well. Just add all of their albums to a playlist, remove the three or four hideous ballads they have, and you have perfect Civ 4 (well, perfect gaming) music.

I listen to the Russian Red Army Choir. Even when I'm not playing Russia.

Two covers (no original music) by talented musicians.

First, 'You could be mine' (Guns n' Roses).
The best thing, no Axl. It's instrumental.

Spoiler :

Second, 'Crockett's theme' (Jan Hammer).
I love the raw sound.
