use Direct 9

I had major major graphics issues to the point of crashing and massive slowdown when I tried the Direct X 10/11. But as soon as I switched to Direct X 9, the problems were fixed. GO fig.

I wish, 9 closes out. and 10/11 just turn to grey instead of going to menus. i can watch the intro both ways, but thats it. wonky no?

yay 50 bucks and I get to watch windows crash out civ5. I don't even get to the opening videos. Crashes no matter which version I try. Crashes no matter what I try.

If you have a macintosh and want to try running Civ5 on parallels, you can forget it. It doesn't work.

I can't believe I waited this long to find out that my 3000 dollar workstation of a computer cant run friggin Civ5.

Haha, I'm not even gonna waste my time with my mac, im not killing more of my joy on this games arrival. i love this series, i just so want it to work. im gonna lose sleep over this in the improper way of not conquering the world.
