How do you guys play Indonesia?

I would really love to play a game as Indonesia, but I have no idea what kind of strategy to follow to get the most out of it.

Well, I played a fun test game with them on a Tiny Islands map. There's not much to it, really. The Candi is really the trickiest one to employ. Use Trade route pressure to goose up the number of religions. Finding city sites that allow you to build a Garden, have Iron, and are on different landmasses can be tricky. Just use what you can. If you don't have any obvious way to build on another continent or landmass, then just be sure to scout as much as you can. The extra luxuries can still be useful later on, and note that it counts if you conquer an enemy on another landmass (the luxury will appear in the conquered city). If you want good Kris Swordsmen, don't be shy about buying Iron from the other Civs and sending them out to get blooded at a nearby barb camp.
