In previous games of Into the Renaissance scenario, the AI never seemed to build Caravels to travel to the New World. In my recent game as the Celts (the last civ I need to beat on Emperor level for an achievement, and arguably the most difficult), I was quite surprised to see two different civs (England and Austria) grab the first two expedition slots. It didn't help things much that Austria was a runaway civ in the game which already had 5,000+ victory points after swallowing many CS and waging a war against Russia and Byzantium (both Orthodox) for a good portion of the game.
Has anyone else noticed that the AI is behaving different in this scenario recently? Has a recent patch made any changes?
