Where to settle

So, I FINALLY found a workable Krakatoa (upper-right)...yay!
I am, of course, sorely tempted to settle on one of those tiles nearest it (4 away from London).
However, the bottom and eastern parts of the island do look inviting, with lots of desert hills for some nice and a bunch of silver, stone.
This doesn't look like more than a 3-city island max
On the other hand, Krakatoa would be a great early-game boost
So, how would y'all do it????

Go for the science boost with Krakatoa for your second city. You get a nice fish, plus, it'll gradually expand to snatch up the silver on the plains hill.

Later on, I'd go settle where those hills are as a production city, especially with those hills, and hopefully some of the flat desert tiles turn into oil/iron/aluminum/uranium later on in the game

I know what you mean, but you might be taking Civ just a little to seriously.

I'd put one city on the desert hill northwest of the grassland hill at the bottom of the island, and one city on the one tile island so that you can have access to krakatoa plus two fish plus stone.

And you never know, you might have something revealed in the fog.

I might be totally wrong though...

Between two south silver (I hope there's a gem hill instead silver). Or hill grassland with access to fish. Build Petra.
Otherwise, I'll settle on another island.
