Nau and exotic goods trade

Hi, don't know if this was discussed before, but since I saw this discussed as a bug yesterday in another forum, let me share what I found out.

If you upgrade a trireme to a Nau, it will have the exotic goods trade tag in the "promotions" bar but you will never get the option to perform this action. This action can only be performed if the Nau was " born" a Nau. HTH

Oh! That makes sense! I wonder if this is working as intended. There is no mentioning of this in the civilopedia entry and like you said, the promotion is there. In my game yesterday I was running the naus around the map trying to figure out exactly under what conditions the exotic goods mission could be triggered. To me it seemed quite random.

I was able to perform a "Sell Exotic Goods" mission with a Nau that I acquired through upgrading. Just sayin'.
