I am at war with Egypt.
Friends with Poland.
Poland is at war with Egypt.
I am also friends with Monaco. Poland is allied to Monaco. (54 influence over me)
I move my spy into Monaco, make a coup, succeed (got the message -- success!)
Monaco stops being Poland's ally, become's Egypt's ally and declares on me immediately. (during that same turn)
So the question is: What?
My guess is that Monaco compared influence levels of me and Egypt at the time of the coup, and, since Egypt's was greater, the alliance was awarded to them, even though I made the dirty work. (i know city states keep track of everyone's influence levels and if you were friends before someone made CS declare war on you, you will stay friends when the peace comes)
What do you think, guys? Not sure if that's intended (and should actually behave like this) or should be posted in the bugs section, so i chose general section.
EDIT: My assumption was wrong, because Poland was not at war with Egypt at the turn of the coup (just re-checked the save). They actually made DoF on that turn. With the exception of this, everything else stands.
Attached the save. Try making coup in Monaco:
