I have finished my work for Sweden and uploaded all files to the SVN transfer folder. We can implement Sweden now.

I can create Sweden with Dummy-Bios first.
When I will get the correct Bios / Historical Data, I will simply replace it.

What should be the Civilization Trait of Sweden ?

Some ideas:

1. Increased Fur and Premium Fur
(I would like to reserve that for Russia, if we ever decide to implement)

2. Increased Wood and Valuable Wood

3. Increased Ore, Silver, Gold

Any other good ideas that can be done with the current Trait-System ? :think:
 
I don't have a splendid idea for the Sweden traits. But after taking a look at the CIV4TraitInfos.XML here are just a few possibilities, which are (as far as I know) not used yet, but could be done with the current system:

- cheaper/faster build of certain building(s)
- free building(s) in cities
- more yield income from certain building(s)
- more yield income on city tile (?) (or what does <CityExtraYields/> exaclty do?)
- faster travel to Europe
- more strengh to certain unit(s)

Basically everything that is possible for Founding Fathers is possible for a Civilization Trait (or Leader Trait).

But I am still looking for a good idea. :think:
 
In considering a trait for a particular nationality, it's good to base it on the historical characteristics of the nationality's colonists. Here's an interesting reference in wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_Finns, about the majority of the original colonists of New Sweden which can provide ideas for the civilization trait:
When the settlement of New Sweden was established in 1638 in the Delaware River Valley, in the modern-day area of USA, the majority of the original settlers there were Forest Finns. The Forest Finns are credited for introducing the trade of slash-and-burn agriculture to North America, along with the craft of building log houses and ferries and the skill of getting along with the Native American Indians, who lived a very similar lifestyle to that of the Finno-Ugric Sami in Scandinavia.

(And some small other aspects.)
