Removing Rivers from a map?

Hello everyone

I've looked most of forum of Civ2 and tried few editors before asking my question here but is there a way (code, utility etc.) with which I can remove all the rivers from a map (Original Game not a scenario)?

All in one shot? I do not think so. Of course you can do so tile by tile.

and the best way to do it tile by tile would be with which app ?

The people in the Scenario League will probably have a better idea of the applications that are out there.

I doubt very much that there is an application that will allow you to remove rivers, because these kinds of applications are usually built by scenario makers, and a scenario maker that didn't want rivers would simply not make a map including them.

If you don't mind knowing the map ahead of time, you can generate it in the Map Editor, and manually remove all the rivers before saving the game.

As the Prof. pointed out, with the Map Editor that shipped with the game.
