Comp Spec: Intel i5 Sandy Bridge Desktop (4-core), 4 GB RAM, nVidia 550Gti with latest WHQL driver, Win 7 SP1 64-bit ultimate
Civ5: updated to latest version with all DLCs & G*K (digitally purchased in Steam), Giant Earth Map under Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack (v 15)
I'm not sure whether the file is too big to run. I found 1 of the cores are fully loaded while taking up 2GB RAM (max for 32-bit program). And I tried to alter the story but the game allowed me to run one more turn before CTD. Since Civ5 is a 32-bit program, I believe no matter I tune my computer or getting more RAM it cannot bypass this issue unless the program is further fine tuned.
