Modding the stacks

Is there mod of any kind that enables stackin? Not necessarily unlimited stack of doom, but maybe with some upper limit like in Age of Wonders series. And larger stacks could have some penalties, like in The Operational Art of War series. Have such mods been made?

"Legions" was one of the first mods for CiV, when many players found 1UPT so frustrating. It's since disappeared when the mod browser was moved to Steam, but it's an incredibly simple mod. Unfortunately, there are some potential user interface issues in choosing between units.

Here's whoward69's versions: 2 Units Per Tile and 5 Units Per Tile.
