golden age question

im 2 techs away from present time techs, all i need is flight and electronics.

many civs have them but want the tech for tanks, i dont want them to have it.

should i trade for the last 2 to get a huge lead in science or let the golden get me through?

im the greeks so i should get a free tech after i get the last 2.

thoughts/strategies you have used during a golden age?

Someone else is gonna get Motorized Transport soon anyway, you can't keep it away from them, but keep it as long as you can. Stop researching and put all into gold, and when the first other civ get it, trade it for Flight and Electronic and start researching again.

Trade it with someone that won't trade it with others, either someone that's in the tech lead already or at war with many civs.

Unless you have libraries and universities but no marketplaces and banks in your cities... then trade it right now and try to get a scientific leader.
