All City States Friendly

I'm wondering if this is a bug or not but I was playing a game as England in the late classical era when suddenly every city state I knew became friendly with me. Is this a glitch or did I do something to earn this?

2nd policy from Patronnage that gives +20 influence + pledge protect or very lucky with early missions and you got them all.

If it was a mission that you fulfilled (like obtaining wine), you get a notification at the beginning of the turn. You may have missed the notification, but you can always just hit F7 to bring up the notification window, although, as a newbie, I don't remember if that lists such notifications, since it only displays some.

i had that happen once, i was building a mine on gold once i had no clue that every city state wanted it as a quest and BAM ally with 2 of them friends with the outer 4 I was like COOL!!!.

hmmm I'll check. It wasn't patronage, I haven't gone down that tree in this game. I must have completed a quest they all wanted.
