City Graphics: South East Asian

Here are my much awaited South East Asian cities, finally completed! I have to give special thanks to Sword of Geddon for his help and support, and also to Arne, who caught me on some transparent pixels.

Only my second city graphics but they're still one of my favourites.

These are good for India - the third set are good for the Mughal and British era while the second are good for the Sultunate of Delhi and early Mughal. How do you install them so only India can have them?

You probably already know this, but there can be no more than 5 culture groups. Therefore, to have a city style that only India gets, you will have to replace an existing city style, most likely the one you want the least.

So, for example, if you chose to replace the asian city style with this southeast asian one, I suggest you do the following things:

1) Make copies of the rASIAN and ASIANWALL files, found in your Civilization III/Art/Cities folder so you do not lose these files.

2) Save the southeast asian cities as: rSEASIAN as rASIAN, and SEASIANWAL as ASIANWALL.

That should be about it. As India already has asigned the asian culture group, if steps 1 and 2 worked, when you go into the game you should see the new city graphics. If something hasn't worked out or I have not made myself clear enough, please say so.

Also, if you plan to replace any other culture group (not the asian one) with new south east asian city graphics, there are a few more steps to installing, and can be a bit complicated. Please tell me if you plan to replace one of the other culture groups, so I can give you more instructions. (That is, if you need them)

What about the Arabic style culture group? Sorry to trouble you.

You want to replace the middle eastern graphics with these ones?
Well, there's two main things you have to do (this also applies for any other culture group besides the asian one in the case of India)
I'll try to explain so it makes some sense:

First: follow the steps above, except instead of rASIAN and ASIANWALL, in this case it's rMIDEAST and MIDEASTWALL.

Second: You'll need to change India so that it is part of the Mid East culture group, instead of the Asian one. You can do this easily by going into the CivIII editor, chooe to edit rules, and under the civilizations tab bring up India, and change India's culture group to Mid East. Save the file in your Civilization III/ Conquests/ Scenarios folder. When you go into the game, Click on Civ Content and select your save from the list.

It should be pretty easy, unless I've done a really bad job explaining it

In my mod, I've got these for the Southeast Asian Culture group. I've replaced the Middle Eastern with an African Culture group, and merged the European and Medditarrean groups into one.

But yes, Red did a fantastic job with these did he not?
