Vote for BlackHeart

I have the experience. I have the drive. I have the determination! Vote for me!

Tough choice...

Answering a question from the nomination thread:

A question for the candidates:

Why should you vote BlackHeart for governor of Northern Province ?

But no here's the real question: Who's the biggest threat to the Northern Province so far?
1. Uh, because he has the experience, the drive, and the determination? I could say why I shouldn't, but that would not be correct in response to this question.

2. Thieves, embezzlers, and other criminals (I looked in the civilopedia).
Edit: Wait, the question was asking who is the biggest threat, which would seem to refer to a single person (or possibly a single group). Unfortunately, I'm not involved in criminal affairs, so I can't give a good answer to that question. Maybe someone in the judicial branch knows who's causing corruption?

Now if anyone would like to ask any other questions (ie so I can provide a reason why I should vote for myself, or why you should vote for me), they are welcome. Maybe I'll come up with some. Probably not (unless perhaps nobody else asks questions which would cast better light on the skill of the gubernatorial nominees).

TimBentley, of course. Didn't he do a great job last Term? Yes, he did.

I'll vote for Blackheart. So how come some elections are uncontested, while here we have no fewer than five candidates? Is this the new place of prestige?

heh, oddly enough. But, low canidate demogames have been around in the past. Most notoriously in the end of DG2 and during DG2 when we had more positions than active citizens (lots of provinces).

It's a neck and neck battle for the governor's chair! Who will win? Only time and more advertising will tell!

That'll hopefully name this province ;)

Who would've thought that the governor races would be contested! This is a definate shift in demogame trends...

Let's see if I can come up with some questions for this race.

1. What are your plans for the future of this province?
2. What purpose can the cities of this province fulfill (an example could be settler factory, obviously that doesn't apply)?

I'll answer these questions in a separate post (which means later this evening).

1) Make it strong, into an industrial capital. I plan to maximize on the river and hills. Plus I'd make glorious monuments to show the achievements of our civilization ;)

2) Army factory, settler factory, worker factory, you name it. This province has a lot of potential and I plan to use all of it!

Don't worry, I'll name the province. I figured that since elections were here already, I'd wait in case I don't win.

   Not if I win, then I would name it or change it :D

1. First I would continue to build improvements (ie courthouses) to make them productive members of our nation. Then I would set them in the purposes as answered in question 2. Eventually, this province can serve as the launching point for a Zulu offensive.

2. Osgiliath, Sto'vo'kor, Windurst and Pete all would help with income, with their rivers, coast, and/or silks. Bentropolis can eventually become a production powerhouse (ie unit factory). Osgiliath and Pete also have good production potential with their hills. Osgiliath, Sto'vo'kor, and Pete all have enough food to create workers or even settlers as needed.

I'm going to loose, but I might as well give it my all :)

1. What are your plans for the future of this province?
This province is the major outlet to the North. It is a thorn in the Zulu expansion as well as a bridge to the French and their possible oil. My plans are to thoroughly expand this province, as well as keeping defenses in check. If ever needed, this province will always be prepared to answer to the call of war.
2. What purpose can the cities of this province fulfill (an example could be settler factory, obviously that doesn't apply)?
Expansion, sabotage, resource denial, exploration, outpost, base, etc.
