Thank you all for... uh... being drawn off to Governorships :D

Anyway... I'll try to put my reports in the second post. I may forget though, so use this thread to remind me.

In this period where so many people becoem absent, I will try to keep our pocketbooks fluid... er... um... Yeah...

Status as of 360 AD (Now 100 BS, also 860 PM)

Our Coffers have 93 Gold

At 50% Sci, 0% Lux:
We get 205 GPT from Cities
We get 5 GPT from Babylon
We lose 54 GPT to Corruption
We lose 40 GPT to Maintnence
We lose 20 GPT to Unit Costs

We have 88 GPT devoted to Science
Leaving 8 GPT income to treasury.

Happiness List (gets a Smiley @10%): Faantikku (2), Furuyama, Immo, Epolenep, Zojoji, Odawara, Shorin-Ryu, Corrino, Osgiliath, En'Gha, Sto'vo'kor, Windurst, Pete.

Recommendation: To prevent mass Disorders around Turn 10, the DP is allowed to increase the Lux Slider on Turn 4 (when Odawara Grows and is on the verge of Disorder.)

Science should be on the highest level that grants us positive GPT.
Exception: If a tech is 1 turn away at current level, mark the lowest level that it stays at 1 turn, then increase Slider 1 point (10%) from there.)

Fluid enough to fill my pockets ;)

Congratulation on the victory Minister Donald the III.

What is your view on the sliders? Should we try to make enough money (have research chivarly of course) to buy techs, by turning down science, or be self-sufficient?

Great Minister,
I'm going to request from President to slow Odawara's growth by switching laborer from the plains to desert. Odawara will not riot in next 11 turns. And soon we'll have Cathedral there.

I would like to apply for the position of Deputy Minister of Domestic Affairs. As you can see by my signiture, I have experiance in that job.

Well, that makes 2 in the ring, because I have had PM contacts with MSTK and he said he was interested.

Maybe I should throw out a general call for advise on this matter. After all, I'll have to trust the guy I pick to get things done, and done my way (within reason), while I'm out.

EDIT: In the meantime, Epi, perhaps you should get that draft for the Mid-Term Elections Ammendment Code.

EDIT #2: Perhaps the Appkicants could give me about a paragraph (maybe 2) on why they sould be my Deputy. Post in this thread, please.

Deadline is 1700 GMT Monday the 4th. (About Noon, My time.)

Minister Sir Donald III

I notice that you include in your instructions what to do with the Settler that was dropped off by Pete. There has been some discussion in the forums concerning the Military plans against Rome, and talk of using Settlers to replace autorazed Roman cities. As a result it appears that a Settler is to be equipped in Immo and another in Odawara early in the next turnchat. You may wish to revise your instructions so that it will be clear what should be done with any Settlers produced.

Furiey

Good point Furiey!

Also I think we could use settlers from Immo and Odawara to join them smaller cities. I especially have in mind Corrino which would gain 4 shields and much time. Furuyama also could use a boost, Eridu and maybe some other cities.
Odawara and Immo have way too much food which can be used to strenghten our other smaller cities.
I would really like to hear your opinion about this matter.

Interesting Suggestion, Governor. If we have Settlers still active once all the Roman Land has been conquered, and we have a period of peace, I will consider this.

It might be just as well for the purposes of "Transplants" to use Workers instead, however. (Net savings of 10 Shields.)

Instead of using them for booster shots we should build more settlers. We need a steady reserve of settlers on hand incase an opportunity should present itself where we can found a new city.

Like I said, if we have a period of peace. Post-War redevlopment would require Settlers in razed sectors.

OK, thx :)

Status Updated.

Recommended Slider actions:

Luxes: Use Specialists to curb Disorder.
Science: I'm not sure whether to go all Positives (70%, 5GPT), or go +10 (60%, 23GPT)

EDIT: Domestic will also donate 100 Gold more-or-less (depending on how much is needed) if necessary and budget up to 5 GPT towards Global Contacts.

I'm requesting that the Domestic Advisor allow cash for horsemen upgrades. We currently only have 1 samurai. Most cities are building markets and cathedrals.

This is of special interest to the Military and Foreign Departments.

800 Gold to upgrade 15 Spearmen to Muskets. (80 Each)

780 Gold to upgrade 19 Pikemen to Muskets. (60 Each)

112 Gold to rush temple at Ibabango (28 Turns)

40 Gold to upgrade 2 Galleys to Caravels. (Not in Harbor at this time, but both are 1 away and have Movement Points.)

We also still have 2 Horsemen (80 for Samurai) and 2 Warriors (40 each for Swordsmen). Both Warriors and 1 Horse are in the North, the other Horse is in the East.

Embassies:
Babs = 43 Gold
Zulu = 45 Gold
Germany = 83 Gold
India = 56 Gold
Russia = 90 Gold
China = 108 Gold
America = 63 Gold
Aztecs = 78 Gold

Dear Minister Sir Donald III

I request a small donation from the Domestic office to cashrush an aquaduct in Furuyama. In about 12 turns it is about to grow to size 7, but the lack of an aquaduct is blocking that. When 11 turns have passed an estimated 82 shields are still needed, costing us about 328 gold.

Will you look into this ?
I suppose it won't be for the upcoming TC, but by the TC thereafter I'd like a definite answer.

Regards,
Rik Meleet
Governor of Zarnia.

Lord Sir :) DonIII,
I suggest to Domestic Office to consider rushing Courthouse in Rome next TC.

Lord Sir :) DonIII,
I suggest to Domestic Office to make discussion and then poll Forbidden Palace location as soon as possible. Since pacifists have prevailed Odawara has obviously become the best place for FP. Odawara currently have only Colloseum and Granary to build (done in 8 turns) and after that it doesn't have very useful builds because we don't need more army or workers. Therefore I suggest to start this project immediately.
