As we are in the middle of a War with Rome, the possibility of getting a Leader or two has come to the attention of the Domestic Department.

Unlike Armies and Great Wonders, most Small Wonders, while having culture, I see as having mainly Domestic Benefits.

This is especially true for the Forbidden Palace.

The site has Capital-Level Corruption (nearly 0), and its immeidate First ring has significantly reduced corruption.

In addition, it reduces the overall corruption of our Nation.

There have been various sites listed in the Discussion Thread.

This Poll will gauge the support of the Citizens per site. The Top 2-5 Options (3 if there are no ties) will go up against each other in a Final Poll.

Since it is so large, I choose to link to the Official Japanatican Map, rather than expanding this text box beyond even my resolution.

So, let's get to it. Like an option, click it. Dislike an option, don't click it.

I'll stick with my suggestion of Veii.

Odawara is the farthest east city with nice central position and it could finish FP in around 20 turns. Tho i would like to build FP farther to the east or southeast of Odawara. Other options as Veii (but we have to fight Iro) or Pisae maybe.
I would never build FP in the north because that terrain (cities) can't compare with wealth of eastern territories (including Roman)

If it's built anywhere, it should be built in the southeast, where the cities are the wealthiest. Building it somewhere like Immo is just a waste. I like the idea of placing it in a former-Roman city. The three top contenders are Rome, Veii, and Pisae; though I'm not sure which one would be most appropriate as yet.

Good point :goodjob:

<Domestic Action for the Log>Veii has been presented as an "other" option, and it seems likely that it would make the "Final" Poll as a Wild-Card.</action>

Are there any more "Other" possibilities?

Veii

(ten character limit)

Well, not being up on things I don't quite know how to vote here. If we are sure we'll never expand beyond the known world and we're lagging and need to boost production, ect. then Veii seems as good a choice as any. If we're already powerful and warlike we may want to skip building a second capital till later.

It would also be nice to have some idea of what else a leader could be used for. Have we already built an army? What is the wonder situation?

It is really difficult for those of us with limited time to productively contribute to this game. Every time I vote in a poll I really have no idea what's going on.

This poll is basically to help the DA determine a site for the FP, donsig. It has already been determined that our first Great Leder will be made into an Army. If a GL is to be used for hurrying our FP, it will be the second one (which may come to late for this purpose if we chose to start the FP soon). The general feeling seems to be to have our FP centered in the Southern portion of our leg of this continent, as it would help our Southern cities and be available quicker than anything in the North or on another continent. :)

I think we should wait. After all, if we're going to conquer the continent wouldn't putting the forbidden palace where the Zulu are be a better idea?

Seems like Roman/Iroqui territory is reachest and more available to us then Zulu and France. Especially because our forces are advancing on weak Rome. Coordinated Samurai attack could wipe Iroqui in 10-20 turns too (after we finish with Rome).

Vote Odawara! We can start now, while Rome and Antium can't be started for a while and will suffer from diminished population and production! Odawara!

Come on, I want a new house! :p

Exactly. He can't get in unless I invite him. :p

What else would you expect from the mayor of a corrupt city (5 gold lost to corruption)? ;)

Oh, and I'm inviting you all over for tea. :p

Except that if the FP was built in Odawara, it would not be corrupt anymore. Unless we were under Communism...

It is was the people want, not just some mayor. :p Personally I would wait till we build FP, but if their was to be one built, I voted other, which is Veii, but first we need to destroy the Iroquois and make sure that city will not be autorazed at it is only one pop ATM.

Ahem...

We don't have Veii, its already been conquered by the Iroquois

Unless you figure we should just turn on our allies the moment we're done. That's a great way to thank them. "I didn't say you could fight, just distract them!" :p

Remember, this is vanilla Civ3, not C3C. It's still the "old" corruption model.

I'd rather have it further north...
