It's about time we have one of those threads again.

What was the best (or worst) betrayal you comitted, became victim to or witnessed in a NES?

As for me, I'd say that Grandmaster's betrayal in one of EQ's NESes was the best one because of it's subtleness. After having made peace and become my ally, he unleashed a bioengineered plague on the Old World. The most interesting part is that I didn't find it out until the NES ended and he confessed.

RoddyVR!!!
back in a boardgame...... too long ago to remember.

and.... i think thats it

the obviouse huge one, and most spectacular, for those who remember, was uknemesis' betrayal of anarchy.

Anarchy was Zulu, who practically controlled all of africa, and was heading to iberia but they didnt have a navy. Their trusty and loyal allies, the british (nemesis) said they would ferry their troops (mind you, if anarchy got to europe, europe would have been overrun instantly). However, seeing the future threat, nemesis sacrificed his whole fleet and sunk the anarchy army.

Pretty exciting time.

I remember in StJNES5 when Austria invaded Silesia, and silesia had just became an Amonic country. So I told Austria that I wasn't worried about it,so that they would still divert most of their men up there,I had the Karelian alliance in the north send men to deffend silesia from the Austrians, meanwhile I invaded the eastern part of rome, and all of western Austria simultaneously, and there wasn't a thing they could do about it.

Also, that entire war with Rome was a continuous backstab of mine.Saying "I'm not going to invade" and then I invaded..Next turn "I'm retreating out now" and I drove further. What's funny is he took the bate every time.

I did lurk the stJNES5 thread alot. A shame I never get to participate in it.

If only I could reveal all the betryals in my current NES... It's a perfect tutorial for ruling Byzantine Empire, to say the least.
