Here are four variations on a simple Amazon Spear unit. One has team colors, while the other are "tribe specific" with different skin tones and clothes (such as they are...)

This is my first try at posting units, so forgive me if I take multiple tries...

Very good my friend and welcome to CFC. I am putting in my game tonight, hopefuly you are doing more Amazons. I have added Amazon Civ. but not enough units available. These are most welcome..

Thanks for the kind words. I do have more planned, both more "tribe specific" versions using the same animations (hopefully with appropriate tweaks as I learn that art) and new ones with different weapons. A Halberd to replace the spear should come relatively soon (only need one new attack animation for that...)

These could not have been done without Steph's SBB and Moeniir's Flickster and all the advice in the creation column!!! And, of course, without BlueO for the original inspiration...

She Looks very Good Parthius Can't wait to see what you do after those animation "tweaks".
...BTW, the large and small pcx files were all 1 million colors and read only files. The pcx files (Red and Blue) that I am sure you intended for the units_32.pcx were also 1 million colors. Only need Red for that file...anyway, here are the adjusted pcx files and Civ Specific colored units_32.pcx file from the 1st Amazon with "team colors". Welcome to CFC

Vuldacon, how many colours should the pedia pics be? I'm grateful to you for fixing the pics for one of the "tribes," but the other two (including the darker skinned version) still have the million colour pcx files. I've got photoshop but I don't know what I need to do to make the other pedia icons useable.

Mithadan, I have (hopefully) fixed all of the pics by reducing them to 256 colors. Sorry it took so long to get them posted. Vuldacon also pointed out that they were read only files, I am not sure what to do about that. Any advice on how to get it right is welcome (hope to post the next one in a few days...)

Any chance of a amazon bowman in the same style? And perhaps a celtic variation for that (with some bluish body paint) for us who have been waiting to get our hands on a female celtic bowmaiden...

Thanks, Parthius. I don't know what the deal is with the read-only-ness of the files, but that's not too hard to fix!

Archer units are next on the list (although I will probably crank out Woodelf, High elf, Dark elf, and Chaos versions of the spear first, since I have the textures and outfits all picked out.) I hope to start working on archer poses this weekend... but I did just buy the Daz Elephant so the first archer may be riding a big grey beast...

When I start posting archer units, please remind me. Sounds like a great unit to do.
