I chose the civ at random, so don't ask why i chose england. And don't think i'm a female, Englands leader just happened to BE female. Any ways no rule changes, exept i was using conquests.
In the story every square equals 100 miles (about 62 km). A basic unit is a squad, two squads in a division. Each citezen is equal to 500 people.

Map: huge
Barbarians: sedentery
water: 70%
Landmass: Continents
Normal
Temperate
5 billion
Accelarated Production

4000bc- Elizabeth looked over her city and smiled. It was a perfect spot, vinyards in the city, vineyards to the west and northwest, a river flowing beside it. A group af cows feeding 200 miles north. Then she gazed at her residents. the population was a modest 500, but she knew that someday that number would be over 3000!

3650bc- "Gentlemen, I present to your a novel idea." Elizabeth said to her advisors. "Let's say that one of those little barbarian villages, with it's little barbarians suddenly decide to try to take our gold, what would we do?"
"Pick citezens at random to defend?" Henry the science advisor said.
"No, unfortuntly those savages would plow right through our hapless people."
"umm... well then..."
"WELL WHAT!!"
The advisors looked at each other, they didn't have a clue.
"What we'd do," Elizabethh spoke, "is we'd have a group of people ready to fight back, TRAINED people."
"Ha were would we get someone who COULD train them?" Betty the domestic advisor scoffed.
Elizabeth smiled, "I have one, George, come out here."
The advisors gasped as a man armed with a stone ax walked into the room.
"This is George, he's my new MILITARY advisor, HE will train the people to fight."
"But where?" Henry asked.
"At the new barracks we have just built!" George boomed.
"Quite." Said Elizabeth.
"Why were we not notified?" the advisors asked in unison.
"Because," replied Elizabeth, "every single one of you had a differant idea on what to build and I didn't want you to get angry. Meeting agourned!"
With that the Queen left.
NOTE: if the chapters seem short it's because I write as I play, and I amazingly have a life other than civ3, also I know how hard it is to try to start reading a story after missing the first few posts.

3450- "Good news Lizzy!" Betty said cheerfully.
"Bets, don't call me lizzy, just because we're cousins dosn't mean you can call me my nickname any time you want, now what is it?"
"Fine ELIZABETH, just wanted to tell you that the survival expert has trained that group of people that wanted to start a new town."
"Really!" Elizabeth said, suddenly her mood had changed, "Well don't just stand there, give them the okay to start moving and building!"
Betty left smiling 'I'm glad I made Liz happy!' she thought, 'She's been so tence latly!'

3150-"Okay people, we're going to start building hear!" Harrison, the leader of the settlers said, "the QUEEN wants these tents set up by tonight, the building starts tomarrow!"he smiled, 'then I get to govern this little settlment.'
"Sir," a scout said panting, "we've spotted a river to the northwest about 100 miles!"
"Good," Harrison beamed, "Any mountains?" already he was thinking of where to position his defence troops, IF he got any, George still hadn't trained anyone, lack of funding he said.
"Yes sir, theres one on the other side of the river."
"Perfect, our troops will have a great advantage, if the mountain is captures, the attackers still have to cross the river!"

ONE YEAR LATER: "One year ago we started this little settlment, we started with 500 adventureds looking to add land to the Queens dominion, now we have built half of this town, and it is now my honor to name it. Because of all the work we have put into it, WORK!"
With that the town sign was revealed.
"WHAT, THOSE IDIOTS, THE CITY ISN'T YORK, TT'S WORK, WITH A W!!!!"
"We're very sorry." the sign painter said, "the Queen did not approve of the name Work, so we, ahem, decided to change one letter, Xork sounded bad so we, cough, called it York."
"ARRRGGGGG!!!" Harrison screamed marching into his quarters.
"Oh well." Betty said, Liz had asked her to come to the naming saromony, "I think York sounds better anyway."

3000- "HA!" Harry scoffed, "whose that moron think he is, calling us the 7th most powerful in the world."
"I don't know, I didn't even know there were nations other than ours, did you?" Betty asked.
"I surtainly didn't." Hope, the cultural advisor said, "of course I guess the world can't be populated by us and mindless barbarians."
"I hope we meet one!" George said, "I want the troops in training to get some real experiance!"
"Now George," Elizabeth said, "we will NOT go to war with every other civilized group we meet, by the way, how are the troops coming."
"Not very good, we need something harder to use for our weopons!"
"Harry?" Elizabeth questioned.
"Right now we are attemting to use the symbols in out alphabet to create words to write our records wuth."
"Very well, George, we will address that problem soon."

lol
you just inspired me to start playing conquests right now.

2750bc- "SO Betty, hows all our little domestic cities coming?" Elizabeth asked, she was probably the happiest person there (don't ask).
"Well my ladyship, everything is running smoothly, here in London we have completed a granery to store food, now we don't have to waste excess food! And in York another barracks has been completed."
"ANOTHER barracks, George, why haven't any REAL TROOPS been trained, that darn building isn't going to keep us safe!"
"Elizabeth, please," the military advisor cooed, "in order for me to have troops we need a place for them to sleep and a place where they can get extra training."
"You think I give a crap? Just train those bloody troops!" Elizabeth screamed storming out of the room.
"Don't worry George," Henry said, "she always has a hot temper."
"I don't know why I took this job." George mumbled walking out of the room.

2630- "What a good show these peasants have made!" James the leader of the new settleing group said, "I wasn't quite sure if we'd get this many people to volunteer!"
"Well it wasn't easy," Betty replied, "Half of them came to get away from the crowdedness of York!"
"Well, as long as they come and help build the town I guess they can come."
"That's very good, the Queen wanted no one to be regected from helping make a new town." Betty said.
"Ha, and did the Queen already think of a name?"
"Actually, after the Work to York insident..."
"Well that was just a misunderstanding," Harrison said walking into the conversation, "all I wanted was to name my town, but oh well, want has been done is done."
"Any ways," Betty said, finished her sentence, "since then Lizzy has made a list of city names."
"Oh, and what is my city to be called?" James asked.
"Nottingham."

2590- "What?" said the Queen, "the people of London have been motivated to create a city, just as the Yorkers will?"
"That's right Elizabeth," Betty answered, "Londoners want to create a new city to expand your rehlm!"
"That's very good, have that survivalist lead the group, oh, what's his name?... John, that's his name!"
"Very well, have John sent in to help plan the city."
TWO MINUTES LATER
"YOu see my queenship, the huts from this side have enough space in between to have almost any thing but a barracks built in between, this will definatly help the expansion of the city."
"Marvoulous John, stupendous, real knowledge you have, you will build my new city of Hastings, because of the haste Londoners made to leave to build the city." Elizabeth complimented.
"Thank you, madam, I am glad you are pleased!"
"Your welcome john, now get moving with that city!"

2550- "Elizabeth! Elizabeth!" Henry said rushing into the throne room, "We have it, we have develped writing!"
"What?" the queen said groggily, she had been up all night listening to a boring messanger who told her the news, 'too bad I cann't just read it off something' she thought.
"We have discovered wrtiting!"
"What?!?" said the Queen, instantly awake, "Is this what you were telling me about before, you know, where that idiot messanger dosn't have to come here mumbling something for an hour trying to remember messages and the news? He can just bring me something written on a tablet or leaves?"
"Yes my queen, that is what it is, all that and..."
"Who cares, teach me this writing and you get a raise!"
"Yes my Queen. Now you see this written on this leaf..."

2430- "All right people, this is where this town is going to start, you and your family pitch those tents, you guys to, everyone else start chopping down trees!" James barked. This was his moment of triumph, this would show the Queen he deserved to be on her counsil, he had the city all planned out. "Sir," a messanger said, "Shall I go tell the queen."
"Yes Gib, I'll write down the message right away."
"Awww, sir, can't I just go to London and TELL her?"
"No, Gib, the Queen enjoys reading, if someone were to find the secret to righting an exciting story that didn't really happen, the Queen would probably have that person added to... added to... added to her counsil."James said as realization came over him, if he could just learn to read, he could write down a perfect story that the Queen would love.
"We have found rich gold deposits to the southwest sir."
Instantly James was his own self, "What, oh very good, we will need htat, anything that would make our citezens happy?"
"Yes sir, we have noticed bushes that berries can be smashed to make dyes."
"Very good, keep up the good work, now how is the tent pitching coming..."

2390- "Even more people willing to settle?" Elizabeth was pleased, people willing to settle cities just kpet coming.
"Yes Elizabeth, do you have a name planned fo rthe city?"
"Why yes Betty, I do, how do you like the name Coventry, because the entire world will covet our civilazation."
"I love it Elizabeth, it's perfect!"
"Good, do you think that James would be willing to stop his ruan as governer of Nottingham, I know it still has a lot of work to be done and he wants to be there when it's finished, but he did such a good job..."
"I'm sure he'd be honored to lead them madam."
"Good, now fetch Gib, he will be the new governer."
"Gib sir," Betty inquired, "that forgetful little messanger?"
"Yes Gib," the Queen replied, "he was at every city planning meeting and was following James around half the time, he knows exactly what is wanted."
"Alright Lizzy your..."
"DON'T CALL ME LIZZY" the queen screamed.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry my queen, I'll go get Gib my Queen..."
"AND MAKE IT SNAPPY!!!"
Betty quickly ran to get Gib.
'Ha,' Elizabeth thought, 'some times it just feels good to scream at some one you know.'

2350- John scanned the terrain, writing everything down on the new Leaf-Book Harry had made. "Okay people," he said adressing the settlers, "this is a good place, it may not have any resorces, but I like it."
Immediatly the entire group got rolling, unlike every other settler leader, john had given everyone their jobs BEFORE they left London.
John smiled, his efforts had paid off.

Meanwile in Nottingham Gib wasn't doing to good of a job, first he couldn't decide what to fund, then he didn't attend the third city planning meeting, then he fell asleep two minutes before he was suppose to have a visit from Betty. It was quite embarrassing haveing the Queens right hand women staring at him in his pajamas.
"So, what news do you bring from the queen?" Gib asked from behind his bedroom door."
"She wants you to decide what to build in your city or you can leave your post and rebegin your work as a messanger." Betty replied
"But this is a very hard job, I'm sure walking around having people wait on you hand and foot is pretty hard too."
"Yes, you have such a hard job you have, you have to sleep all day and sign one bloody bill that allows your people to start a building prodject!"
"Please, give me some time, James left me a horrible..."
"What James left you was a perfect city working on one specific thing and enough money to build a palace!" Betty replied.
"Are you saying that James was a wonderful leader and I'm not? My ideas were approved by the Queen, why else would she appoint me the governer." Gib scoffed.
"THe Queen chose you because you knew exactly what James had planned for this city, not for YOUR darn ideas, for JAME'S ideas!"
"Then why was James fired?" Gib chuckled.
"Darn it Gib, that man wasn't fired, he was reassined to help out the new group of settlers because of the perfect job he did here."
"What, so I, but he, so... I, um, have another, um, meeting I have to be at, good day." Gib said rushing from his bedroom heading for the newly constructed town hall.

2230- "I now bring this council meeting to order, our first speaker today will be Betty."
"Thank you Elizabeth, now then we all know that last month Gib ran out into the wilderness after my second visit, we must find someone to take his place."
"How about Michael the Stonesmith, he seems like a very capable person." Hope suggested.
"The fact that he's your brother-in-law dosn't come into play here, does it?" George joked.
"Oh, no, he's a very capable person."
"I've herd of him, he's a very brillient man, it seems he's been doing some experiments with copper, I know it will take quite some time but if I could follow his lead sometime..." Harry said thoughtfully.
"You could make the weopons my troops need so badly." George finished.
"Well," said the Queen, "Michael sound VERY capable, have him appointed governor. Betty is there anything else you would like to report?"
"Yes actually, York has built it's own granery, now we won't have people traveling to London to ask for some extra food."
"Very good, now our next order of buisness..."

"Hmmmm," James said, "We should be nearing the place our scouts talked about soon."
"Should I have our people pitch the tents?" Cassie, James assistant asked.
"No, no, we'll press onward, no need to stop short of the goal."
"Whatever you say James."
'I still haven't figured out that blamed secret to righting good fictional stories yet, oh well, at least the Queen has given me this promotion.' James thought.

'Must run, must run!' Gib thought as he stumbled through the wilderness. 'Must get away, must find barbarians, must join, must get revendge upon Betty!'
Suddenly a rock came wizzing at him.

"Who the heck is that?" James yelled as his settling band took out primitive sling-shots and shot rocks at the man running.
"I have no idea." Cassie answered.
"Well whatever it is have the men capture it, we'll send a message to the queen after we have it."

"What?" Betty said shocked, "hold on, I must tell the Queen!"
Betty ran from the messanger and into the Queens quarters.
"Lizzy!"
"BETS, DON'T CALL..."
"They've got him, James's settler band found Gib!"
"What, have him brought to me, we'll put in jail for about a year than have his trial!!!"

ONE YEAR LATER- "Gib, you have been found guilty by the Queen of treason, sentence of punishment, death!"
"No, no, Gib do better, Gib do better!!" The man screamed.
"Poor devil, went of his rocker a year ago." Michael wispered to his friend Kyle.
"Oh yes, quite sad, went off screaming revenge when they found him i heard." Kyle replied.
"If you'd ask me I think that someone's going to help him escape." Michael said.
"Why in the world do you think that?"
"Because before he became a messanger he had some pretty good friends, friends that ended up on the wrong side of the Queen!"

As night fell two creeping figures slithered into the London jail. One had a wooden club, the other a stone knife.

"ESCAPED!!!!" the queen yelled in rage followed by words that would get this thread closed, "...I DON'T CARE WHAT IT TAKES, FIND HIM AND BRING HIM TO ME, HIS HEAD ON A PLATTER!!!"
"But why all this over one insane prisoner." Henry asked.
"BECAUSE THAT HALF INSANE MAN JUST HAPPENS TO BE A MAN WHO KNOWS WHAT THE ENTIRE PLANS FOR THE CITY OF YORK ARE!!!"
"What does that... you mean he knows where the secret reaserch lab is?"
"Yes he knows where you and the other sages stay, if he were to give that information to any one, you, your mystics, and your thinkers could all end up dead, and the secrets your about to uncover will be gone forever!"
"But, but how did he find out?" Harry asked.
"Before he was placed as governor he was the messanger, the most trusted messanger ever, he carried all the secret plans, and he made copies of them!"
"But how do you know this!"
"Because after he went awall we serched his office and found a rouge map of York, one that he carried and had delivered to me!" the queen answered infuriated, "that's why we need to find that ..."

Gib woke up on a bed, a nice soft bed, the first one he'd been on in months.
"Where is Gib?" The crazy man asked.
"You are with friends, do you remember us?" A man said as he and his partner stepped out of darkness.
"Carl? Ben? is that you Gib sees?"
"Yes it is," Ben said, "and we need your help to get revenge on the queen."
"Yes, revenge good, but Gib needs much sleep."
"Yes Gib, go to sleep, and when you wake up, you will tell us everything."
But Carls words were wasted on closed ears, Gib had fallen asleep.

2190-Meanwhile as all these events were taking place James and his band of settlers kept treaking towards there goal. Finally they reached it.
"Okay people, I need volunteers to go unpack the wood so we can start building, everyone else, start pitching tents, this is where Canterbury will be built."
"Not a very favorable spot sir." Cassie said, gazing at the land, "there isn't much to grow off of."
"No cassie, I see it as, there isn't much to hinder our building!"
"That's you James, looking at the bright side of everything. Ever since we cought that crazie Gib, suddenly you became ...differant."
"Yes, I guess I did, I guess I just realized how blessed I am, I haven't gone crazie, I have people under my command, and I've got my own assistant, that's helped me build one city, and helped plan my other."
"Thanks James, I like you better this way anyways." and Cassie smiled at the man that had made her feel special.

"So Gib, when are you going to tell us where those blamed secret buildings are." Ben asked.
"Soon Ben soon, once I regained my sanity I formulated a plan, and my plan is still in the making, and once it begins, not even the queen will be able to handle what this devil's son is going to do."
Ben chuckled, he never thought that this messanger of the queen would go back to normal again.

I'm guessing the chances of this being as long and as popular as Pax Romana is almost zero right?

2150- "Good news my queen, more Londoners willing to go settle."
"Very good Betty, go get Richard and send them off." Elizabeth answered.
'I need to cheer her up,' Betty thought, 'she's paler than a ghost!'
"ELIZABETH, ELIZABETH!" Harry ran in shouting, "my Queen, we have discovered a philosophy to live by, and our mages our making up more!"
"Very good, just leave them on the table and I'll read them later." The Queen answered.
"Elizabeth, I'm no healer, but you look sick as a dog, your going to bed right NOW." Harry said sternly.
"Very well, some rest may help, be sure to send your discoveries to the other cities."

James sat thoughtfully in his newly constructed office. 'I need something to cheer the queen up,' he thought.
"Sir," Cassie said barging in, "a messanger has given my this leaf which has what he calls "the philosophy to live by"."
"Let me see it Cassie."
Cassie handed him the paper and went back out to her room.
James looked thoughtfully at the symbols, then he suddenly stood up.
"I've got it!" he yelled and sat down to write his fictional story.

"Okay guys, here's the plan." Gib said laying out a map.
"Finally!" Ben sighed.
Gib ignored the remark and pointed at the map, "This, gentlemen, is the 'secret' room where the mages and mystics stay with the thinkers, now this is how it'll work, Ben you..."

That night James sat awake over his desk, pouring over his story, a tale of friendship, politics, and deceit.
"Done!" he suddenly yelled and he organized his leafpages in the correct order and pasted them together with a crude glue.
Cassie slowly walked into the room.
"What do you, yawn, want sir." She said groggily.
"I want you to send these leaves strate to the queen, I don't care how you do it, but get it to the palace!"
"Can't this, yawn, wait until morning?"
"No it can't it... on second thought maybe I should wait until morning, thank you for your suggestion Cassie."
"Your, yawn, welcome." and with that Cassie stumbled out of the room.
James looked down at his bundle of papers.
"Finally," he said to himself, "I've created a fictional story, I call it The Tales of Peter the Yorker!"

Meanwhile the rebels were starting to put their plan into action, getting all the criminals all together, then telling them what to do, the set date, 1990.

"Elizabeth! This is Betty, wake up, we have a package from James in Cantebury."
"Fine, I'll read it, but I tell you I haven't felt this bad since, I don't thinnk I've ever felt this bad, what with Gib on the loose and the infernal cold!"
She stopped.
"Hey Betty, what is this, it says The Tales of Peter the Yorker on the front."
"What?"
"Look, and on the first page: This first fictional book is dedicated to the Queen of England."
"Fictional, that's like the Literature Harry was telling me about!"
"Did someone say my name?" Harry said walking in.
"Yes Harry," the queen replied, "it seems like James has put together a fictional story!"
"What! Let me see that." And once he had the book in his hands, he read, he read about how Peter the Yorker was an orphan living in London, how he moved to York when he was 14, and how he lived, and died there.
When he had finished he looked up with a tear in his eye.
"Elizabeth, this is extrobinary, I'm only sad it wasn't me or one of my thinkers who wrote this, this is truly a breakthrough! Here, Bettl, Elizabeth, read it!"

"Okay is everyone set on the plan?" Gib asked all the criminals involved in the huge rebelion, "no questions? Good, remember everyone, the dawn of 1990!"

"Oh my word, that is a...a..." Betty poured into tears as she finished James's book.
The moist eyed queen then spoke, "Betty, take a note, have James given an award, the Elizabeth Literature award, and have one given out every year to any person that has composed a tale as compelling as this. James has made me feel better again, give him whatever position he wants," she said, then quickly added, "exept king."
At this all three burst out laughing as Betty walked to the stonesmith to get an award made.

"Any position I want, oh Cassie, I've got to think, I've got to figure out what to do." James said, almost in panic.
"Calm down James, just think, what do you want to do most ever?" Cassie said soothingly.
"I want to marry you!" James replied.
"What, you want, you.."
"I'm sorry, it was just the first thing that came into my mind, I'm really..."
"No James, don't apologize, I'm just, I'mjust..."
"Happy?" James said with a week smile.
"Yes James I'm happy, and I accept!"

Gibs was not happy as he paced the floor.
"I don't under stand it Ben, where is he, what if something goes, wrong."
"Gibs, calm down," Ben answered, "he's probably just outside making sure no one comes in, he'll be back."
"I don't know Ben, I just have this huge feeling that something's going to happen that will ruin our plan entirly, I mean what if..."
"Gid, don't worry, it'll work, trust me."
"Still, there's a thousand holes in my plan."
"It'll work. It HAS to work."

As the two kingpins were talking, Carl was sneaking into George's barracks, looking for the general himself.
"HI Carl," George said not even looking up from his work, "anything new going on with the mofia?"
"George this is big, Gib has planned somthing huge, I was barly able to steal the plans, but here they are." the informant said handing the general the plans.
"Darn it Carl, why couldn't you get here sooner?"
"I just had to..."
"Never mind, listen, we have every criminal this side of York right at my buddy Harry's doorstep, it would take all the troops I'm training, AND some support from York, I'm not sure if I can get this darn thing organized, Carl, is there any way you can postpone it?"
"No,sir," Carl replied, "every crook in the cities been notified, this things going down no matter what."
"Well than, I guess I better give a message to the Queen, then pull some trainees from York." George said, "You better get going too, they'll be wondering where you are."
"Got it General, I'll be back tomarrow."
"You better be."

NIce story, are u a Terry Pratchet reader? it sounds a bit like his style. can you include a picture or map if possible?

No idea who terry pratcher is, sorry. and My darn computer dosn't let me upload files, and i've tried!

Just A note, the book James wrote, The Tales of Peter the Yorker, I'm writing that on a differant thread

1990- "What?" said the queen, "I thought James was building Coventry!"
"He was madam," Betty said, "but for some reason the names got switched, anyways, Coventry is being built right now, Hastings has completed it's barracks and..."
"Elizabeth!" suddenly George rushed in, "it's started, Gib is triing to start a revolution!"
"What, you knew about this and didn't tell me!"
"I didm I sent a messanger and... oh gosh, it's impossible!"
"What!" the queen and Betty asked in unison.
"A man came into my office today and handed me a note, I..I haven't read it yet." cried George ripping the note out of his pocket.
He read it silently.
As he finished he looked up with moist eyes, "It says to go to the London granery... to get your messangers body!"
At this the queen was horrified.
"I don't care what it takes," she finally said, "I want you go go out there and slaughter those devils spawn!"
"I will my queen," George said, wielding his stone ax, "I will."

Michael was horrified by what was going on out sid his window, he had come to visit London to do some experiments with metal with Harry when an entire group of criminals started pounding on the secret door to get in the room.
Michael stepped back and bumped into his molten bronze cauldron, spilling the contetce into the pot next to it, one filled with tin.
He swore as he backed away from the teaming liquids.
"Michael, we're going to die if those blood-thirsted morons break threw that door and... what the hecks in that cauldron!" Harry said spotting the mixture.
"Tin and copper sir, I bumbed into them when those demons knocked a few splinters off the door."
"Right now I don't care what it is, our it in those spearhead molds, we need SOMETNING to fight back with."
Quickly Michael did what he was ordered then placed the molds in water to cool.

James was getting ready for his wedding, his palms were sweaty and his heart was beating as he sat down after planning the wedding with the Harrison, the governor of York.

"Brake down that wall!" Gib screamed along with all sorts of curses.
"Gib!" Ben said running from his look out position atop a roof, "there's a group of soildiers gatheing around the fruit sellars house!"
Suddenly the door broke open, inside there was nothing but a table and two chairs.
"Search the bloody room!" Gib screamed, sending ten of his underlings to the ground searching.
"Gib, I think this is the wrong house!" Ben said, looking around.
"How the hack could it be, Carl said that this was the house on the map, and he knows London better than anyone! Where the heck is the devil anyways?"

"That's right George sent them to the wrong house!" Carl laughed.
"Good work Carl, I think you deserve a raise!" the military advisor replied, "open up Harry! This is George!" he screamed throught the door.
"Sure it is!" came a reply, "and I bet the queen sent you too."
"Darn it, london squad, you follow Carl over to the house the swine's at, half of you yorkers, go settle down the 'diversion' they planned, I'll stay here and try to get Harry to open the door!"

"I don't like it!" Harrison told his secratary, "I just don't like it, we're having one of the most important weddings ever between the Minister of Expansion and HIS secratary, and the entire group of trainees from the barracks head down to London, I just don't like it!"
"Calm down!" Martha, his secratary ordered, "you may be governer of York, but your as jumpy as a hare, so what if all the trainees are in London, it's not like anyone's going to start a rebellion here or anything!"
"I bet your right, I think I need some rest though, tell everyone that I'm in conferance, good day!"

Finally the spearheads cooled onto the hilts.
"All right gentleman!" Harry told his thinkers, "we have a gang of ruthless criminals at our doorstep, George hasn't come, so we'll just have to fight with these."
"But these weapons are just experimental, this alloy was created by accident, you don't even have a name for it!" a voice rang out.
"We have a name, Michael calls it Bronze, and what else do we have to fight with?"
No one had an answer, they just all took a spear and got ready to fight.
"All right people!," Michael said, "I'm going to open the door, brace yourselves!"
And with that the matalworked flew open the doors, but instead of a hoard of gangsters, the only person there was George.
"Finally," the general said, "you've all come to your sences, now everyone, we're heading to the palace to have a conferance witht the queen on the new alloy you have descovered!"
"How did you know?" Michael asked.
"I've been here the entire time, listoning throught the door, my troops have Gib and company pinned down a few houses down, anyways, let's get going."

'How could this be happening?' Gib thought, 'I've got to get away!'
And that's what he did, as his underlings where cut down one by one, Gib dashed out the door and ran strait northwest.

Solemnity reigned as George headed for the granery, his head hung is silence. Accompaning him were the Queen and Hope, because Betty was out calming down the people.
They arrived at the granery.
"Ladies," George said, "this sight may be brutal and disgusting, are you sure you want to be here?"
"I'm sure George, I'd like to pay my respects to that messanger." The queen replied.
Slowly George opened the door.

James was pacing, still tence about the wedding, back and forth he walked, thinking about what his life would be like after the wedding. Sudenly There was a knock at the door.
"Come in." James said, glad that someone was there.
"Hello," Harrison said walking in, "is every thing to your satisfaction?"
"Yes, Harrison, every things fine."
"James, I'd just like to say, relax, it's okay, I've been throught this before, nothing is going to go wrong with the wedding, Cassie seems like the perfect girl for you, so don't be so tence!"
"Thanks Harrison," James said, alittle strain left out of his voice, "thanks for the comfort."

"We love the Queen! We love the Queen!" crowds of Londoners chanted as the queen appeared from her palace.
"My my," said the queen, "nice to see such a turn out, eh Betty?"
"My word, when I heard the people had planned a We Love The Queen sellabration I never thought this many people would show up, oh well, better give them their speech LIZZY."
The Queen was in such a good mood she decided not to correct her cousin, instead she began her speech.
"People of London, a while ago a group of rebels tried to take away my throne, they are now in jail, and not enjoying the festivities of today, I have decided, in order to make these days more happy, that we should hire some entertainers, ladies and gentlemen, here they are!" The queen yelled as she ducked under the entertainers leaping from behind her.
"HURRAY!"

"Quite a racket coming from the city, eh Rachel?" Islou said as he strolled down the path towards London.
"Of course," his wife replied, "I heard they were planning a we love the Queen day festivitys from that peddler we met down the road."
"That would explain alot," Islou replied as they neared the entrance to London.

"Okay people, today we start training with these new weapons Michael the blacksmith has made for us, I want everyone paying attention up here as I demonstrate how to handle this deadly weapon!" George yelled to his troops in training, their training period was almost over, and the recrutes were eager to get their uniforms.
"Who will lead us as you train other groups?" a voice cried.
"I have found one person more dedicated to all of you here, and I will tell you who he is when you are ready to fight under him, until then pay attention to how you thrust you spear, right hand infront of the left!"

'Just remember what Harrison told me,' James thought as he paced the room, 'this is suppose to be a time of second guesses, just remember what he told me!'

"I wish we were being trained in London," Mark, one of the recruits said, "they're having a big We Love The Queen selabration, why in the world did George to finish us Hastings troops first?"
"No clue," replied Frank, Mark's bunk mate, "just think of a girl you have back home and get some sleep."

"Halt who goes there?" A newly recruited guard asked Islou and Rachel as they tried to enter London.
"Just a starved beggar and his wife?" replied Islou, "you wouldn't have the heart to keep us out would ya?"
"Of course not sir, maam, just making sure your not Gib or one of his cronies."
"Gib, who the heck is he?"
"Just the local rebel."
"Ah yes ther IS one in every town, guess we'll be on our way sergant."
"Sergant, I'm flattered sir, but I'm just a humble corpral."
"Not for long if you keep up the good work, come Rachel, and let's leave this soon to be sergant to do his duty!"

'Just remember what Martha told me,' Cassie thought, pacing the room, 'this is suppose to be a period of second guessing, just remember what she told me!'

"Well Elizabeth, glad to see the citezens enjoying your presant to them!" Betty said gazing down on the group of citezens partying by the palace balcony.
"Yes they are, just glad to see no more Gib rebels are still here!" the Queen replied, "that insedent woke me up to a few things, but at least somme good came from it!"
"Ah yes, the accidental discovery of Bronze, George said he needed better weapons, well Gibs rebellion gave it to him!"
"Just the opposite of what Gib wanted!"

"Okay Rach, you stay here wile I go through that crowd, I'll be back in a few minutes!" Islou said departing from his wife.
"Be safe!" she replied.
He walked throught the crowd, looking for some dimwit to give him directions. Finally he found some one that looked stupid enough.
"Good day mate!" he told the not so bright man, "you look like someone of importance, could you direct me to the govner' of this town?"
"Bless your heart sir, I'm but a puny farmer, and there is no govenor of this town, this here is London, city of the Queen!" the dimwit replied.
"Thanks for the telling me what this place is govner', could you derect me to her majesty's palace?"
"Cirtainly kind sir, the palace is right over there, behind the bakery."
"Thank you."

"There's a couple outside that claiming to be from a forign nation, asking for me?" the queen asked in surprise.
"Yes my queen, they claim to have crossed all of Britain to see you!"
"Thank you Betty, send them in."
So in came marching Islou and Rachel, their peddler disguises set aside and their aristicrtic outfits on to take it's place.
"Thank you my leige for letting us in, we were wondering if we could get a job application?" Rachel said.
"Job application you say, what sort of job would you be looking for?"
"Oh, I don't know, master of spies, forign advisor, trade advisor, secratary of forign affairs, any of those positions open?" Islou asked.
"Master of spies, I don't see how you and you wife could accomplish that, you two seem like a governor or governess to me!"
"Ha, governor of governess, did you hear that Izzy?"
"Ho, of course, let me intruduce ourselves Elizabeth," Islou said shedding his disguise, "I am Islou, and this is my wife Rachel."
The two of them now looked exactly like the peddlers the guard and dimwit had met.
"I'm quite surprised, but I'm sure a disguise could easily been seen through if I had heard your peddler accents, you didn't change there a bit!"
"Sure about that govner'?" the master of costumes replied, resorting back to his other accent.
"And the girl?" Elizabeth replied surprised.
"Right as reign you ighness" she replied.

1830- Mark and Peter stood proudly as George gave his speech, honoring this first squad to be completely trained.
"In conclusion, I believe that this group of young men will one day save this town from a barbarian uprising or hostile attack, any ways, I'll hand it over to the NEW commander of this outfit, while I go sneak some snacks from the kitchen, man does not live by training alone!"
Every one chuckled at George's parting comment, then turned their attention to Todd, the squad commander.

Islou sat infront of the queen during the speeches, of course no one knew he was there, to every one else at the honors ceramony he was just a peasant that got lucky enough to sit infront of the queen.
"They all look good," Islou wispered to the queen, "but the one in the front right hand corner is to nervous to go into battle, he fidgeeted a little to much when your military advisor mentioned hostile attack."
"Thanks Lou, I'll remember that, now where's your wife?"
"Oh nothing, just scouting out York before the big wedding tomarrow."
"Ah, James, my new Minister of Expansion, would of never had engaged his secratary had he not gotten his new position, he's a bit tence, I hope when I give him the report he'll calm down a bit!"

As the ceramony was taking place Rachel was walking through the streets, looking for an occupied alley that could have a secret door.
"Scuse me," she mumbled in her fake accent.
"Watch where your going or I'll have you..."
"Haf, you idiot, don't make a scene!" someone said yanking him into the crowd.
'Bingo on the bad guy department!' Rachel thought, changing her course to the governors house.

"What?" Harrison asked, a regal looking women had just requested a message be sent to the Queen.
"I asked you very politly to send this message to the queen, and if you don't I will go to Hastings my self to deliver this message and relay to the queen how rude you are, I'm sure she'd like to here all about how one of her governors refused to help a lady who is very close to her!"
"I'm sorry miss, I'll send that darn message right away!"
"And may I add that using slang words will not help you out when I meet her majesty in person, good day!" the strange women said storming off.
"Women," Harrison said to himself, "they meet one person and they think they can trounce right over their new friends governors, oh well, Spreck, need this message sent to Hastings pronto, and get it right to the Queen!"

You know maybe I should stop writine this story, I don't have one main plot, I'm just dramatizing my civ 3 game and giving why these things happen! Just Kidding!

The Queen was enjoying herself, the troops where guarding the city, Islou had okayed that the city was safe, and Michael was working on how to make houses out of bricks, but when she got Rachels message her mood took quite a swing in the wrong direction.
"Look Islou, your wife sent me this note, it says 'York: resistance, move wedding.' Lou, we've been planning this wedding for a while now, we can't just move it!"
"It seems," the advisor replied, "my wife sees things differantly, we're talking safty, do you want your Minister of Expansion killed because Gib got away under Georges nose and you guys couldn't stop ONE wedding!"
"Okay, okay, if you want to move and postpone a wedding that's been in the making for over a year, that's fine with me."
"Okay, be that way, I might as well just quit, if the queen won't listen to my wife, I'm guessing she won't listen to me either..."
"Fine," the queen said defeated, "we'll move it to a month after the rebelion happens, but you better pray that your wife is right."
"Don't worry, she is."

1830-Gib had done it, twice he had organized an attack, and this time it would work, he was sure of it. It was perfect, all important personel and soldiers would be at the wedding, leaving only two bit guards to keep the piece.
"Well Andrea, have you thrown your sceptism away?" Gib said to the original leader of London rebelion, Gib had taken away her position, and she knew this attempt would fail like the last one.
"Not quite Gib, but if this works I'm with you."

In reality every good trained soldier was NOT at a wedding, they were standing guard over every important spot in York. No one wondered why the queen had ordered it, it could be summed up in one word: Gib.

The attack began at high noon, ten minutes after the wedding was planned to start. If the wedding would have actually taken place the governor would be half way through marrying the couple, fortunatly for Harrison Rachel had been right on this one.
At precisly 12:01 the disorder began, it spread quickly through every street and the entire day was taken up crushing and cleaning up after the plan, but this time Gib wasn't there there, he had smartly left the city at 11.

1750- Michael quickly scribbled down a letter and gave it to his messanger, this discovery was one of his most important.

"After the civil disorder a while back there was a barracks made in Canterbury?" Elizabeth asked surprised.
"Actually yes, no one really realized it though." Beth replied.
Creak!
"Oh ladies, I have this ergent message from Michael!" a messanger panted handing the queen a letter.
"Elizabeth, what does it mean?"
"It means we're going to Nottingham!"

A few days later the queen met and congradulated Michael for his discovery of how to pile square blocks correctly to make houses.

1675bc- "Come on you wimps!" George screamed, "you guys have to be ready in an hour for the graduation seramony and all you're doing is sitting around!"
A new group of soldiers finished their spearman training that day.
"Hurry up! If you aren't all there at noon, you're all going have lots of running to do, lots of running carrying two spears in each hand and a weight on your back."
The soldiers groaned and picked up the pase.

"It is now my honor to give your city of Canterbury some protecters to help you up, I give you the 2nd spearman squad!"
The Canterburians cheered at all this, but one comment spread like hot fire around the soldiers mouths: "Quite a change of tune, isn't it?"

Right now it's been 5 chapters since anyone's replied... I wonder if anyone's actually reading this story.
