This is the second time today and the forth time this week that George Bush has called me. I keep telling him no I'm not going to vote for him, and to please stop calling me but he just won't listen. I don't hear John Kerry keep calling so why does Bush feel that he has to keep calling me and leaving messages on the machine? Aren't there laws against this? I tried to *69 him, but it didn't work and it just has "Out of Town".

Have you been getting automated phone calls from Bush or Kerry?

Edit: Oh and tell us where you're from (I'm from Minnesota)

What makes you think it is automated? j/k...

It's so much fun to not live in a swing state. :p Why don't you move to South Dakota?

Yes, but only once (Kerry), and that was awhile back. I think I even got a message from Laura Bush once (not sure if it was about the elections). Both recorded messages, of course.

Nope. Living in a state dominated by one party is fun. It will give me an excuse not to vote, etc...

I had to go to New Jersey to see a political ad.

No here also. Bush could reinstate the draft, cancel social security, burn Atlanta, and then march to the sea and still win Georgia in 12 days.

CG64: I know what you mean. I think I can vote for the sheriff and that's about it. The dems aren't even contesting any local elections in my district. It would be a waste of money. I actually think they don't contest local elections, because it would cause a larger Republican turnout for statewide elections where Dems might stand a chance.

My answering machine weeds out recorded messages so nope no calls in H4ppyland. Not like it would do any good though, my parents are decidedly antiBush.

Yeah, me and John talk all the time.

George is leaving messages on my answering machine constantly, most of which consist of, "I KNOW YOU ARE THERE! PICK UP!"

Dubya obviously wants your vote perfection, and he will stop at nothing short of calling you 24/7 to get it! You better give in or he'll call you all the time, the ring of your phone will make you go insane!

Vote Bush/Cheney 04' I'm George W Bush, and I approve of this message.

I have only gotten one call from my pal Dubya ;)

I hope this is just an American telecommunications concept I am entirely unfamiliar with.

It is. Nothing to do with the sexual innuendo tied to "69."

That doesn't stop millions of pre-teens from making jokes, however. ;)

"yeah i mean i star-sixty-nined her"
"heh heh, you sixty-nined her? heh heh"

Im in the same situation. Never been called and yet have an unlisted number :).
