Here are spear units from two additional Amazon tribes, the "Valkyries" and the "Icenis." These two units use the same animations as my earlier ones, but differ in clothes, skin tone and hair color.

Next will be the Elves (Wood, Dark, and High), a Giantess (with some new animations), and a pair of Chaos units. Several of these will even be decently clothed!

Then I should be moving on to archer versions...

There is in fact a little known legend among the Warhammer Amazons that once five temples have been built it may then be possible to build a special improvement "The Hall of the Valkyries" that produces one every five turns...(at least that is tweak I made to the Warhammer Mod in order to better rationalize the need for the unit - with humble apologies to embryodead: it is a fantastic mod, I just can't help adding in units).

Warhammer is indeed the mod I have in mind for most of these, although it is also nice to have units to fit into Great Lost Civilizations as well (hence Troyan and Nubian from my first set).

These look pretty good!

I'd suggest that you add a bit more emphasis in the attack, right now she looks like she's doing some funky feng shui :crazyeye:

Again, great work! Is there a chance that you could give one of them a rifle instead of a spear? For some variation. :)
(I hope that is easier than modelling a musket unit from scratch.)

I am using the Daz V3 model as the base, so the main issues with substituting a rifle are (1)finding the model, and (2)working out the poses/animations. I will start looking at more modern weapon options and hopefully will get more proficient on the animation end. Ultimately, the main constraint is time...

Your 'girls' are awsome, looking forward to the archer's. I would love to see you add a couple of these to one of the chariots recently released at some point. One with a musket, one with a rifle, and.. and.. Just keep up the good work they are all welcome.

It was just a suggestion, as your units are really great! Any other Amazon unit would be appreciated, as well. ;)

PArthius-- Where did you come from and why did you wait till now to do it? This are Spectacular!

CellKu,
Suggestions and/or requests are very welcome (and highly motivating)!

Goldflash,
I got started with CTP (and discovered the mod community in the process) and snatched up Civ3 when it came out. From reading the creation threads (and seeing all the wonderful units produced), I invested in Poser about a year ago. Things are finally coming together (although my animating skills still have quite a ways to go). For me at least, it was a non-trival (time consuming) process to learn all the steps required to make a flc.

In the meantime, I was what my wife refers to as a "Lurker", I read and downloaded, but didn't post.

More Amazons needed. With the others here, plus the leader head, you can almost have an entire Amazon Civ.

More units on the way. I am revising the death sequence (jerky at some angles) and adding a new attack sequence (original not dynamic enough for some). In addition to the previous variations, there will also be Wood Elf, Dark Elf, and High Elf variations (with a bit more in the way of clothes as well).

Also playing with scaling issues for a Javelin wielding lass astride an elephant as well as war Oliphant with a howdah large enough for a crew of three or four...

And picking out clothes for the giantess...

Good, since despite the fact that I think your units are good from a technical standpoint, I could do without the nudity (my mods are all family-friendly :) ). Also, if you have some kind of (clotehd) female archer in the works I'd be grateful.

Parthius,
As a fellow “Lurker” these last 10 years I have contributed so little and gained so much from the community. But as my own graphics and units are not “family friendly” they will probably stay mine. Your units are a breath of fresh air and I only hope you don’t ‘Ashcroft’ them in the future. Whatever GhengisFarb was, he at least was not boring.

Ajax, Nudity !necessesarily= Interesting, unless you've got an adolescent memtality like half the perverts on my ship. There are some of us who have religious beliefs or other moral values regarding nudity and would rather not see it. Now, like I said, I could most definitely use some clothed female units, along the lines of what Kindred did a while back (some of said units of which I'm already using, most notably his amazon archer and Tomb Raider). These units, while extremely good, especially for his first few (I mean, my first units were nowhere near as good  ), I can't use because of my beliefs, and the fact that even though some of the more recent FF games have come rather close, none actually have any nudity.

Ajaz029, No need for concern! I fully intend on working on a full line that extends the tradition of BlueO. Along the way there will probably be some that won't get posted...

Hikaro, posting the units is my attempt to give something back to the community (while having fun, etc). Since I am using DAZ V3 as the base, regenerating with different clothes is not a major issue, so as time and motivation allow I will try to do dual versions where possible. I appreciate your comments and respect your moral/religious beliefs and will try to support them in parallel with pandering to my own "adolescent mentality" (my wifes term...). And an archer series (variations in skin, hair, clothing) is high on the list - when I eventually get to the point of posting the first one, let me know if you have anything specifically in mind clothes wise.

Cranking away on regenerating the first two spear units... If the new Death and Attack animations look ok in the game, I hope to post the revised units this weekend (with and without extra clothing...)
