Strider has approached the Judiciary to review his proposed Constitutional Amendment to Article K. Discussion about this amendment can be found here
During Judicial Review (DG5JR#26)the Court did not find any conflicts with existing legislation, and therefore brought this amendment to the House of the People

The original Article K reads:
Code:
All irreversible game actions must progress during a public turnchat,
while reversible game actions(ie build queues) that adhere to legal
instruction can be prepared offline.
He proposed to amend this article into:

Code:
Article K.
All irreversible game actions must progress during a public turnchat, while
reversible game actions (i.e. build queues) that adhere to legal instructions
can be prepared offline.
  1. A turnchat instruction thread must be created at least 3 days before
     the chat.
     a. All official instructions must be posted in the current turnchat
instruction thread. Instructions must be clear and defined.
     b. Officials must post their instructions at least one hour before the
Turnchat. However, offcials may make changes to their instructions up
to an hour before the chat, so long as those changes are noted.
  2. The Designated Player shall be charged with the creation of a date and
     time for all public turnchats.

Every registered citizen is allowed to vote on this Constitutional Amendment. A voter can either vote 'yes', 'no', or abstain from voting.

As prescribed by Article I of the Constitution, citizens will be able to vote in this poll in the four coming days.
In order to grant this poll a legislative status the quorum of 18 voters is required.
In order to pass this amendment, an approval percentage of 67% is required.

This poll is now open :hammer:

Abstain, private poll.

I voted for this too.

Well, I just have to :).

It's 14-0-0 right now, if you said you voted against it, I wouldn't believe you. ;)

I voted no like an idiot. Shouldn't have voted at all. Hey mods can you undo my vote? You've changed votes before...

:D So now we have an idiot setting precedence of changing a private poll. You guys are right, this game is going downhill.

LOL, this is too hilarious :) You guys turn this empire-running into a sitcom, like the Junta
of "Cheers" LOL.

Oh, pardon me, is this a private poll? Then I guess we should throw it out. Why? Oh, I don't know but I'm sure if you really want reasons I can find some that have been put forward in a nearby poll...

No, you missed my point again, donsig. Just like in the FP poll. Here I never say we should throw out private polls. It's every citizens right to weasel out with a private poll. That's guaranteed in writing. I say all polls should be private. Big difference there. But I'm sure you'll find some way to exploit that with some other sensationalist comment.

Sensationalist comment of the night coming up:

Which FP poll are you referrig to Cyc? There have been so many I've lost track.

If that's not good enough, how about this one:

DGV Motto: If at first you don't succeed, poll, poll again!

When you all are ready to make the election polls public then I'll side with you. Until then ALL polls should be private. This public polling which allows people to track who is voting for what and identifying blocks of voters that stick together is atrocious and not democratic in any sense of the word.

It is when you consider that we are all members of the Congress, at least I think the Constitution still deems us as such. For this reason, I believe that the voting record of each Congressperson should be made public so that there is an accountability for one's choices come election time.

And all public policy voting has done is shed some light on what we already knew: there are voting blocks. Election polls should still remain private.
