new map : Egypt 2004-11-26

Here's a map of Egypt.

It's made with bmptobic and a good document from the last Geo.

The map is 165X255, with coast tiles for Nile ( and rivers for irrigation ).

It's a very nice map! :goodjob:

A gameplay issue, tho - outside the Delta, there are only three actual rivers, meaning it's very hard to irrigate in most of the Nile valley, and you can basically forget getting anything irrigated over in Palestine. Not necessarily a problem for scenarios, but it would be a huge issue if you played a normal game on it.

I'll add river all along the Nile.

I totally forgot to place rivers in Palestine

I'll fix these and post a new version soon.

EDIT : FIXED I added rivers in Palestine and along Nile for irrigation.

Yes, it's a big map. But if you don't allow cities in desert, your game shouldn't crap

Works very well... currently battling away as Maya.No desert makes gameplay +colonys more exciting aswell!

I dont suppose you could be pushed towards a UK and ireland one please?

I think there allready are some good maps of that area. But I have to admit I never tried any.
