PTW PBEM Looking for new players
Must be PTW as I don't have C3C (yet).
PTW can't see C3C files (i.e. it is not forward compatible ) even though C3C can see PTW files (Backward compatible) For some strange reason you can make software see old style files, but not one that were created after the software your reading it with, strange that isn't it? Edited (It seems it comes with C3C but you have to remember to open it )Anyway the set up is: Mode = Standard Timer = None World = Large Barbarians = Restless Land = Pangea Water = 60% Climate = Random Temp = Temporate Age = 4 Bill Diff = Regent All victories active Accell Prod = Off 4 playes 2 civs each. Edit: maybe three is a better number? Random civs (better practice that way) Each player plays two turns one after the other. Plus ###Anyone up for a 1v1 I'm game.### I've got one game on the go but need something to do between turns.

A very warlike combination. I thought that it would be better to have random civs so that you have to adapt your stratergy to suit. Plus it saves all that mucking about as to who chooses first. But if you'd both rather choose civs I'll go along with that.
I would just like to get a game going. 3 is probably to most for a reasonably quick game. I'm GMT, as it will be better to sort out playing order in terms of timezones. Do we want any limits on when war can be declared etc.? Also as to spped, as quick as you can. What do you mean by slow? once a week would take forever.

Hmm
What if we split up as in:
Game 1 Hawklord Gera 81 Elmarae Game 2 Hawklord Niveclough Daufoi Two random civs each Two random AI's. Other wise as in first post. Still waiting to hear from Gera 81. Other wise I will set up heading to minus from GMT. That's the right way aint it. That way the time it takes to arrive will be non'playing time

![]() BTW, are the games split up based on what level we play on? I play on Monarch and win about half the time. |

Split
No it was purely random. Or in list entry order.
I'm still adjusting my tactics to fit with this pbem and real people cos its different to playing the AI. Can everyone PM there e-mails and time zones if you haven't before and I'll get it rolling. Plus I thought maybe I'd try random maps and stuff. So it will be like a real civ starting out. You wont have an idea of what sort of world you live in till you explore it
