Difficulty: Up for discussion
Civilization: England
World Form: Pangaea, 60%, Normal, Temperate, 4 Billion
Barbarians: Roaming
World Size: Large
Victory Condition: Domination (but all will be enabled)
Version: Vanilla 1.29f

Variant Rule: We must capture AI cities that have at least two letters in common with the following cards, in this order:
The Windy
The Fly
The Shadow
The Watery
The Wood
The Rain
The Jump
The Illusion
The Silent
The Thunder
The Sword
The Flower
The Shield
The Time
The Power
The Mist
The Storm
The Float
The Erase
The Glow
The Move
The Fight
The Loop
The Sleep
The Song
The Little
The Mirror
The Maze
The Return
The Shot
The Sweet
The Dash
The Create
The Big
The Change
The Freeze
The Firey
The Snow
The Voice
The Lock
The Cloud
The Dream
The Sand
The Dark
The Light
The Twins
The Earthy

The bolded cards use different rules. They must be an original AI capital. Also, after we capture all of these cities, we can continue taking whatever cities we want, but before that, these are the only cities we can attack.

We're using the LK ruleset.

Roster: *We need more players*

What a great 3000th post!

If you accept a tactical newbie (currently playing my first game in warlord and managing allright so far).
Is this what they call a one city challenge?
Do you also accept cities as a part of a peace treaty, given the right order?

This is what they call a really crazy variant that no one in their right mind woulld try.

This game will probably be about one or two difficulties above the actual difficulty, so if you feel you can handle it, come on in! :)

Does anyone wanna give this crazy variant a try?

I'll stick my neck out, though I will warn you that I have never won a non-culture victory, and although I have Gold I can't get Vanilla to run.

Oh, why Angleland?

Sounds so crazy that I feel like trying it :D
Though I don't play Vanilla since... uhm I can't remember. Have to check if I can find the CD  But for now sign me in, if you want.

PS: Wouldn't try above Emperor, considering it's Pangea :p

I'm thinking more of Regent or Monarch, since the variant is so wierd.

So in a nut shell, the variant rule means we must first capture an AI capital that shares 2 letters with the word "windy", and start our world conquest from there. I'm assuming that "the" doesn't count. Am I correct?

There are also no rules against razing, is there?

In any case, if you could make this game monarchy or emperor, then I'd like to join. Provided that you remind me to play the game in classic Civ3 every time I take it

Oh, why Angleland?

England is underrepresented in SGs (mainly because it's so bad in Vanilla and PtW).

I'll sign up for some wild and crazy fun.

The Windy:

NOT Rome (Rome) - 0
NOT Egypt (Thebes) - 0
NOT Greece (Athens) - 1
YES Babylon (Babylon) - 2
YES Germany (Berlin) - 2
NOT Russia (Moscow) - 1
YES China (Beijing) - 2
YES America (Washington) - 3
NOT Japan (Kyoto) - 1
NOT France (Paris) - 1
NOT India (Delhi) - 1
NOT Persia (Persepolis) - 1
YES Aztecs (Tenochtitlan) - 2
YES Zululand (Zimbabwe) - 2
NOT Iroquois (Salamanca) - 1
NOT England [DUH!] (London) - 1

We need to make sure that at least one of Babylon, Germany, China, America, the Aztecs and Zululand is in our games. (As well as others, but I don't have time for that now.)

I don't think that I'll be able to vinnella uo abd running in time.

May I make the map?

who's gonna start the game ?
If I don't remember bad, we will be Commercial and Expansionist , right ?

@CVN: I think you misunderstood. I meant that it could be any capital city.

Onedreamer, Cuivienen, you are in.

Temporal anomaly: Just make the map a Pangaea, and make it doable.

aha, now it's all clear
sounds like fun. Except for England

what is the order of play ? It seems Doc and I are european.

It's done, doable, and has only few modest suprizes.

I supose that you guys can fight for who goes first.

Here's the map and the save:

EDIT: And whoever gets it can start. I'm up in another SG.

4000BC (0): Found on spot. Get CB from a hut. Research off, set to WC.

3750BC (5): Meet the Romans. CB and Pottery for WC. Research set to minimum on Writing.

3600BC (8): Get 25 gold from a hut.

3450BC (11): Get Masonry from a hut.

3350BC (13): Pop maps and a settler! [party]

3250BC (15): York founded, claiming silks.

3200BC (16): Meet the Zulu. Alphabet and 20 gold for the Wheel. There are horses slightly to the northeast of London.

3100BC (18): Pop a warrior from a hut.

3000BC (20): Masonry for Bronze Working and 10 gold. (Zulu)

I haven't explored our area enough for a dotmap.

Would be nice to know what is the order of play and how many turns to play.

lurker's comment: Just popping in...looks like an interesting game.

The roster from the first post:

Tomoyo (he just played)
Doc mabuse (he is up)
Onedreamer (you are on deck)
Cuivienen
Open

So that means after Doc mabuse plays onedreamer, you are up. It is also standard for the first person to play 20 turns, and then 10 from there. :)
